  “Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Ambiente Tapas was perfect in every way and genuinely one of those meals where you leave thinking, we need to come back here! The food was outstanding — every dish was packed with flavour, beautifully cooked and clearly made with care. Everything we had was delicious, but the burnt Basque cheesecake deserves a special mention. Honestly, it was sensational. Probably one of the best desserts I’ve had in a very long time! And the staff were absolutely top notch. Friendly, attentive and made us feel really welcome without being overbearing. Megan in particular was fantastic and really added to the whole experience. Great food, great atmosphere, fantastic service and absolutely nothing to fault. We loved it and will definitely be back next time we visit Hull. Highly recommended! ❤️”

  “Wonderful all around. This was our first visit to Hull and we didnt prepare, we just set off walking and stopped here. It was extremely welcoming from the moment we walked in. The lady looking after our table was amazing, explained how everything worked and gave us a little time to order. They cook the food fresh and it comes out when ready rather than all together which we enjoyed. The quality of the food was honestly fantastic, the flavours where incredible and portion sizes where great. Very good value for money, overall it was fab.”

  “To make it easy for you – just go! 😍 I've been meaning to leave a review for months because every single time I visit, the food is nothing short of incredible. Everything is fresh, vibrant, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The flavours are consistently amazing, the food arrives in good time, and the service is always exceptional. A special mention to Lucy, Evie, Morgan and Chef Bassist, who really made my evening last week. As it's tapas, the dishes often arrive in stages, but on this occasion everything came out together, which meant I finally managed to get the perfect photo to show just how incredible the food is! One of my absolute favourite dishes has to be the Dátiles con Queso (dates stuffed with Picos Blue cheese and wrapped in streaky bacon) – I could happily order several portions just for myself! 😍 I also absolutely love the Secreto Ibérico, and the Judías Verdes (pan-fried green beans with sun-dried tomato and pine nuts) is a MUST, every time. On this occasion, the seasonal dessert of fresh berries, Chantilly cream and homemade meringue was the perfect light, sweet treat to finish the meal. The menu changes regularly, so there's always something new to try, and the staff are fantastic at recommending both food and drink to suit your tastes. 🤩 Everyone is always welcoming, smiling and happy to help. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I've visited too many times to count, and I know I'll keep coming back. Without a doubt, one of the very best places to eat in Hull. Highly recommended!”

  “Sorry to say wont be back, good was below par for the price, my mother in law wasnt happy with pink water chicken so she sent it back, came back black. Mushrooms full of water as i would expect from frozen and calamari batter soggy and undercooked ... see photo...have been a few times and usually really nice ... today did not meet expectations at all. Potato's bravas was nice apart from a couple of discoloured potato chunks.”

  “We had such a nice dinner at Ambiente Tapas a few days ago. It was our first time as we were visiting from the south and everything was great, especially the food. I recommend the Gambas and Patatas Bravas! My Flor De Rosa cocktail was equally lovely. Generous portions and good service. I hope one opens in the south one day”

  “What a great find of a place. Walk past Princess Quay turn right towards the marina. Up the underpass steps when you get to the top junction of the bridge the marina is in front of you turn left, walk down and when you see the building Marina Court, turn right and walk staight down until you get to Humber Street and go to number 5 on your left. We were met by the lovely Becky who made us feel welcome immediately with a great hello and a beautiful smile. A huge, airy well furnished restaurant. Great comfortable seating inside and outside. Beckys service was great, quick to attend to us but plenty of time to look at the menu, order a drink and take in our surroundings. The food was fabulous, freshly made to order and tasted awesome. My fellow diner and I shared, and we were full at the end and happy to have the steps back to walk it off. Payment was by card only which is not a problem Highly recommend the whole experience. Will definitely be going back. 10/10”

  “Small, intense, memorable! Enough about me, you need to eat here! I chose this restaurant on a whim while up North on business and was treated to a lesson in intensity. I started with dates filled with blue cheese and wrapped in bacon. Decadent and sweet to get my metabolism purring for what was to come. I chose Chorizo and Patatas in an intense red wine, fennel and brown sugar reduction (I wanted to drink it!), subtle gambos in crispy crumb and a beautifully balanced garlic alioli and masterfully composed Queso Feta al Horno which was sweet, acid and heat fighting it out on a feta battlefield (I nearly ordered a second!). For drinks I ordered a sherry that was light rather than cloying and then switched to a fruity red (almost a vibrant lilac at the edges of the light) to finish the mains. After that gauntlet of taste I just wanted comfort and sat happily munching churros and warm chocolate sauce until I was sated. You need to try this place.”

  “Absolutely fantastic experience at Ambiente Tapas Hull. The food was incredible, every dish was packed with flavour, beautifully presented and came out at just the right pace. You can really tell there’s attention to detail in both the cooking and the atmosphere. A special mention to Morgan, who looked after us brilliantly from start to finish. Friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Service like that really makes the difference and adds to the whole experience. Great atmosphere, great food and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back, highly recommend to anyone looking for quality tapas in Hull.”

  “Came here for valentines day. Waiting staff were incredible and so friendly. Food was delicious. We had never had tapas before and were a bit confused on the process but staff were happy to explain how it works. Would 100% reccommend”
