  “I have been visiting this place for quite a while and everytime i get the same amazing service. Especially the gentleman (murad) always welcomes with a big smile on face and will make few jokes to make you feel home. And it's always clean and tidy, very calm music on.   “It's a very good, beautiful, and spacious cafe; its carefully chosen decor makes you feel relaxed, allowing you to enjoy a hearty breakfast, a relaxing coffee, or a traditional Turkish lunch, and my absolute favorite, the lahmacun. The staff are very kind and always polite. I would truly say this is a hidden gem of Hull. The portions are quite filling, and I almost couldn't finish the Turkish breakfast. Pide, fresh orange juice, Turkish coffee, and lahmacun are among my favorites. You should definitely come :)”

  “I have always had a wonderful experience at Balkon Cafe! The atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and spend time with friends. Highly recommended! And I really liked the changes they made inside of the shop”

  “My family and I visited today and unfortunately, the service was extremely slow, and one member of staff in particular was very rude and unprofessional. Another customer calmly raised concerns about the delay in receiving food, and in a room full of people, this staff member chose to shout at a woman with three young children. The situation was handled very poorly and was uncomfortable for other customers to witness. I personally felt his reaction was influenced by the fact that the woman was on her own, which made the interaction even more difficult to watch. One comment made was: “If you wanted food at the same time, you should’ve ordered the same food.” While different meals may take different lengths of time, customers should still receive their food within a reasonable timeframe of each other, especially when young children are involved. This has left an extremely sour taste. Sadly, based on this experience, me and my will not be returning.”

  “Balcon cafe is a place you need to visit if you’re visiting Hull or live nearby. The price is sensible and wonderfully affordable so I strongly recommend it to everyone. The food on the other hand is even better! No matter what you order you will not be disappointed. Although, the food takes time to arrive it is worth the wait. The staff serve with a smile and are serious about their work. They will always try their best to make your day with their food. 5 stars👍”

  “Lucky visit as daughter picked the place and what a shock . A Turkish cafe with all traditional as well as British breakfast option . Couldn't picked better . All points marked top scores from decor ,amazing staff and delicious food. Space is plenty, very airy. Absolutely brilliant. The best thing is prices are on the low side and ate all with pleasure. The best so far cafe I've visited in a while . Top recommended place”

  “Tried this place to treat my lad to a lunch after a hard mornings graft and was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and attentive but not overly so. I was very impressed by the obvious freshness and taste of the food. It was the best Pide I have had outside of Turkey and even beats most I've had there. The Lamuchen was also fresh, thin and tasted beautiful. Will definitely be back again with the rest of the family to try more delights from this place.”

  “Great food and coffee, a generous basket of tasty warm chewy bread when served. A good selection of Turkish dishes and pastries. We will certainly be back to try more dishes! I think the only downside is that it was quite empty for its size, it looks like they are still settling in but the interior is well polished and cozy, but from the outside it looks like they are still building, so we have actually walked by a few times without realising they were serving! My only regret is not coming in sooner 😍”

  “We had a delicious and very filling Turkish breakfast, which was served with fresh bread and many dips, along with some Turkish tea. We were kindly given a complimentary bread that was filled with Turkish cheese, it was freshly made, warm and very delicious! Would definitely recommend this (not sure of the name of it though!). We had a great experience overall, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The interior is lovely too so it makes a nice day out with family or friends. :)”
