Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food, and the Sunday roast stands out: one diner rates it better than a Toby Carvery, while another who samples roasts around the East Hull villages calls it very nice but not the best. Steaks, a mushroom dish and the curry night also draw praise, with large portions and one reviewer's advice to bring an appetite. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and obliging, and a few mention the rooms and good value for money. The complaints are specific. One diner found the menu basic, the starters better than the mains and most mains fried, and a booked table was not checked on arrival. Another saw only two staff on duty, running nonstop, and objected to loud, foul language around the pool table. One reviewer says a main landed on the table right after the starter, and a diner with a stick struggled with the steps between levels. Dogs are welcomed, with one party of ten bringing three and another noting free treats.

“We stayed over in their fantastic rooms and reserved a table to eat in the evening.. Everything was perfect from our arrival and all of the staff were really friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a fabulous meal in the evening, along with a couple of drinks and came away feeling we had great value for money, which in the current times is somewhat of a rarity.”

“Very nice. We try to sample the Sunday roasts in our area (East Hull villages) and this is up their. Not the best but definitely worth a visit. Nice old style pub, big car park at rear, nice beer garden too and I think this place does accommodation too, situated in a lovely village. Definitely worth a visit”
