Customer Review Summary
The roast dinner is the draw reviewers raise most, whether called a Sunday lunch or a Sunday dinner. One diner describes thick, tender cuts of beef, proper roast potatoes, a proper Yorkshire pudding and thick gravy, with a second bowl of vegetables brought out. Close behind are the fish and chips, called phenomenal, and the fish duo, plus a sirloin steak one regular orders on every visit and says is always cooked to perfection. Reviewers also praise the friendly, welcoming staff, and one family celebration was met with service that went out of its way. Many mention the outside tables overlooking the Humber, where one can watch the ferry in the evening, and several stop in after walks around Paull. Large screens show sport with the volume off. Reviewers describe the prices as good and the food as fresh and homemade. One group found the portions so large that they left food behind and plan to order a small and a medium next time.

“I’ve called in twice this week to see what it’s like. I like proper pubs in little villages and The Humber Tavern didn’t disappoint. Service with a smile and a cracking Sunday dinner.”

“Been a few times now and I must say, it really was a hidden gem. Is your traditional local village pub, has a great atmosphere and interior. The staff and owner are very welcoming and friendly, they get you seated very quickly and the food is absolutely brilliant, fresh and homemade. I’ve always got the sirloin steak, every time I’ve been, definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. Always cooked to perfection, really can’t fault it. Overall, I find that HumberTavern is great value for money and in a fairly decent spot and I certainly will keep coming back. I definitely would recommend if you’re visiting this area or just want to try a different place that’s not in Hedon or in Hull. I would rate it 10/10 honestly, love it here.”
