Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the brunch and breakfast bowls, with the healthy brunch bowl and the health bowl praised for fresh, well-seasoned ingredients, including chunky avocado, and one vegetarian with lactose intolerance loved it. Close behind are the vegan duck tacos, which one diner says tasted exactly like duck, and the breakfast burrito, which was made gluten free on request. Teas get steady mention, from a honey, lemon, turmeric and ginger elixir to an oolong, alongside a goldie pastry. The calm, relaxed atmosphere, vintage decor with items for sale, and vinyl played in the background come up repeatedly, and the staff are called friendly and welcoming. The main caveat is space: one laptop user found the seats limited, and another felt the green juice was not what they expected, though it still tasted nice. One regular of four years describes a chef's approach to every plate, with a small twist on each dish.

“I had an Americano at Salvage early in the morning. Although it was noisy outside due to ongoing road maintenance and construction, the atmosphere inside softened the noise, creating a tranquil environment. The Americano cost £3.20, and I was able to stay for a while while using my laptop. The café has charging ports and Wi-Fi, making it a comfortable place to work. However, the number of seats is limited, so it may not be ideal for prolonged laptop use.”

“Really love Salvage Cafe, I’ve been coming here for 4 years. You can feel a chef’s approach to every plate, there’s so much more thought here than your usual brunch. Everything tastes so fresh, and there’s always a little twist or detail that makes it feel special. I appreciate that kind of care so much. The sort of place that makes you want to work your way through the whole menu!”

“Went for brunch and was so impressed. The welcoming, calm, relaxed atmosphere was so inviting and the decor was so cool. I had vegan duck tacos, which tasted exactly like duck. Will defo be coming back. The service was so good as well . The flavours were so tasty and unique to any other place, they put their own twist on it and it was so enjoyable! :)”
