  “Butt Karahi Hounslow is a terrible place. Very poor service. Ordered a fish but after half an hour, no sign. It probably swam across the Atlantic! You couldn’t serve properly when you had only 4 diners in the whole restaurant! You’ll have more guests if you organise a Ludo tournament instead!”

  “Visited this branch recently and tried the Chicken Biryani, Lamb Chops, and Charsi Lamb Karahi. The Lamb Chops and Charsi Lamb Karahi were exceptional, full of flavour and definitely the highlights of the meal. Unfortunately, the Biryani didn’t quite meet expectations as the rice seemed undercooked. The prices were competitive and the staff were generally friendly. However, the service could be improved. We were asked a couple of times if we were ready to order, which felt a bit rushed and made the experience slightly uncomfortable. We also ordered a Mint Lime drink which had an unusual smell, although I assumed it may have been from the mint leaves and didn’t raise it at the time. One thing to be aware of is that no printed bill was provided; the total was calculated and given verbally. Card payments are not accepted, so make sure to bring cash or be prepared to pay via bank transfer. Overall, it was a decent experience with some excellent dishes, and I would consider visiting again once or twice, mainly for the lamb dishes.”

  “Excellent grills, tasty butter lamb Karahi. Great service from Kimat. Improved service and food. 5 star health hygiene rating. Not many restaurants in Southall are clean. Mainly 0 and 3 stars.”

  “Only butt Karahi in and around London that actually tastes authentic. Although food is always good service can be slow, floor sitting is great but carpets aren't always cleaned or i guess they never been as stains of food and drinks are visible. Overall good and recommended.”

  “I recently visited Butt Karahi in Hounslow and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Firstly, the food itself was not what we expected. We specifically ordered our dishes mild, yet everything that arrived was still extremely spicy and difficult to enjoy. On top of that, our daal was completely forgotten and never brought to the table. For a restaurant that has “Karahi” in its name, it is quite embarrassing that the karahi itself lacked the quality and balance you would expect. What disturbed me far more than the food, however, was the behaviour I witnessed from the owner. After finishing my meal, I was waiting for my kawa when I saw the owner throw a plate across the kitchen towards the female kitchen manager, Fatima. What followed was extremely uncomfortable and upsetting to witness. He spent a prolonged period verbally attacking and abusing her. At one point he slammed the door on her and appeared to be attempting to intimidate or harm her. None of the other male staff members intervened or attempted to de-escalate the situation, which made the environment feel even more disturbing. As a customer, it was incredibly upsetting to witness this kind of treatment of staff. No one deserves to be spoken to or treated in that way. It completely ruined the dining experience and left me feeling genuinely disgusted. I sincerely hope the management reflects on both the quality of the food and, more importantly, how staff members are treated.”
