Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come back to the big portions of Polish food, with pierogi named repeatedly, including large ones where flavors can be mixed and matched. Close behind are potato pancakes, one served with beef stew and another praised as chewy with a pickled pepper on the side. Others single out tripe soup, sour rye soup, marinated herring, pork shank, meat dumplings, and desserts such as apple pie and a currant cake with Oreos. Several describe the food as authentic and made fresh, and the staff as friendly and welcoming, with quick service. A few mention a cozy atmosphere. The criticisms are small but specific. One regular, who otherwise likes the food and most of the staff, says they felt judged on more than one occasion for arriving in motorcycle gear and a helmet, once being treated as a delivery driver before being asked if they were a customer. Another reviewer suggests the outside beer garden and signage could be refreshed, since from the street it doesn't look like a restaurant. One visitor from outside the area says they would return, and another notes the specials on the board outside and at the bar.

“Delicious! Potato pancake is very chewy, and the pickled pepper on the side is amazing. Marinated herring is very good and refreshing. Tripe soup is a must order, super flavorful. I also loved the sour rye soup. Perogis are large, and you can mix and match different flavors. Pork shank is also very good. Overall very authentic. As other reviews mentioned, portion (especially for the mains) is huge.”

“I recently discovered this Polish restaurant through a colleague and I became a regular customer because the food is genuinely very good. The food quality is excellent and there is also a blonde member of staff who always provides amazing customer service and makes customers feel welcome. I wanted to mention something because I believe feedback matters if a business truly cares about customer experience. On more than one occasion, I felt judged because I arrived wearing motorcycle gear and a helmet. Once, I was treated as if I was a delivery driver before even being asked whether I was actually a customer. Today I also had another interaction that left a strange impression. While leaving the restaurant, I felt like basic politeness and mutual respect were missing. Small things like acknowledging people or simply saying thank you can make a difference because customers notice these moments too. Maybe none of this was intentional, but people wearing motorcycle gear should not be treated differently or assumed to be something before being asked. I am a regular customer and I enjoy coming here. I still genuinely like this place, the food is great and most of the staff are lovely. I want this to be a positive review overall, and I hope this feedback is simply taken as something to improve rather than criticism.”

“Good morning. I had the pleasure of visiting the "Paleta" restaurant last week and I can say that I was delighted. I ordered soup, meat dumplings, and for dessert, a currant cake with Oreos and coffee. Everything was delicious; I ate my fill. On a huge plus, the staff were incredibly kind – very helpful and polite. I am delighted and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone.”
