“My wife and I came here visiting Holywood from Canada. Dirty Duck was the top recommendation in Holywood and we see why. The food was stellar and the staff were super friendly. We had a vegetable soup and a halloumi wrap and both were so delicious. Their sticky toffee pudding was amazing!! We travelled in with our own small Canadian rubber duck which we left to join the decor around the bar.”

“Popped in for an early dinner on a whim. Staff couldn't have been nicer, got us a beautiful seat in the window to enjoy dinner and a few drinks. They even had a great range of 0% drinks on tap. Highly recommend the fish and chips.”

“Called in with my wife, as was in Hollywood county down, and wanting a quick bite, decided on 'The Dirty Duck ', as had heard a few good reports regarding the quality of the food. My wife ordered the chilli chicken, and a side of garlic chips, which when arrived was quite a lot, as it was the starter. And it was also really tasty, and tender chicken. Myself decided on the scampi, of which once again was well portioned, and the batter was extremely light. Mine was accompanied with chips and mushy peas, which was again a lot. The scampi also came with tartar sauce, and it took was well portioned, not one of those ridiculous miniature tubs, but a well sized amount on the large plate. All in all it was a pleasant dining experience, with a beautiful view of the Lough. Price came to just over £50, including drinks. A difinet return, as it was worth the visit.”

“Utterly unassuming from the outside, inside a delight of a Gastropub with friendly kind matter of fact service. The Smoked Cod, Champ and Broccoli was Devine. Then ice cream with 4 scoops - not shy on the portions! Seats upstairs and downstairs with views over the sea and the ferries coming in. Parking on the street outside, reverse parking skills needed. I was driven there, close to Holywood station too. Lovely place, will be back and will eat the same meal. That Smokie Cod - Squires Smoker!”
