  “Well what can I say… As my Dad was down visiting and wanted a nice meal, (a “steak” was craved) we decided to go to the Wheal Dream. We booked online which was very straight forward a table for 3. There was a great choice of meals and the service was brilliant - very attentive staff as always, but in the same breath, gave us space to talk and eat our meals. We tried one of the new Mango and Passionfruit cocktails….. perfect !! I had Sea Bass and this was accompanied by muscles and prawns, with crushed potatoes and beans, asparagus and broccoli with a lovely garlicky sauce - it was beautifully cooked and presented. My Dad got his steak, a Sirloin and again it was well presented and cooked to perfection and that was served with a blue cheese sauce and chips. My daughter had cheesy nachos topped with bacon as she was just coming along for company but as she’d eaten elsewhere earlier in the day, she didn’t finish them but it wasn’t too much trouble with the staff to get a “take out box” to take them home instead. Well despite diets… we were tempted with dessert, there wasn’t much arm twisting, but we had a Crème Brûlée and a Biscoffe Cheesecake that were both as soft and creamy as you like. ❤️ Our waitresses were predominantly Florence and Izzi , but Julie, Boris & Neil were lovely and chatty as always. Not sure who actually cooked /served our meals, but thank you. Definitely a lovely mid week treat. 🥂💐”

  “We visited Wheal Dream for a meal and unfortunately left very disappointed with the food. I ordered the 'crispy sourdough pizza', but the base was completely soft and had the uniform, machine-made look and texture of a pre-made supermarket …”

  “My husband & myself have just spent 4 nights in one of the lodges at the Wheal dream, it was so well equipped with every thing you could need, in a beautiful position, with a golf course on site& also a super restaurant where we had a delicious evening meal & also Sunday carving. A lovely area & close to so many lovely coves & beaches, We are looking forward to our next visit.”

  “I can't comment on the rooms as I've not stayed here BUT having visited last night for the first time for a meal here, I cannot speak highly enough of the restaurant (and based on this alone I would say the rooms are going to be spotless!), the staff, the food and the drinks - the food is delicious (amazing salt and pepper squid, best steak I've had in a long time and the chocolate orange brownie is a must), the Cornish honey spiced rum is excellent, the venue has an amazing aesthetic and atmosphere and the team are SO friendly and welcoming and were great with our rescue dog too. Will definitely be coming here again!”
