About Trevaskis Farm
Trevaskis Farm is a restaurant in Hayle with an on-site farm shop, which houses a butcher's, a fishmonger's and a bakery. The farm also has a pick-your-own fruit area and animals to see. The kitchen serves roast dinners in large portions, with chicken, pork or lamb, and the roast lunch comes with roast potatoes and a large Yorkshire pudding. A pudding counter and dessert fridge hold a big selection of cakes and puddings, including eclairs, apple pie and a chocolate and cherry roulade. Anything from the counter can be taken away to eat later. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Roast dinners are the main draw, with reviewers praising the lamb, chicken and pork roasts, properly roasted potatoes and big Yorkshire puddings, all in very large portions. Close behind is the dessert counter, where reviewers name a chocolate and cherry roulade, apple pie, a chocolate and coconut torte and a giant éclair, and several take their puddings home because they are too full to finish. Staff are described as friendly, attentive and accommodating, with one group offered a birthday song for a surprise cake. Pick-your-own fruit, the farm shop and the farm animals also earn mentions. On the critical side, one steak diner found the meat fresh but the other plates lacking: a portion of chips was ratty ends, the gratin cheese was unmelted and oily, and the Diane sauce was heavy on thickener. Another found a crumble warmed until mushy and a room that grew very warm. One parent with children felt cakes and strawberries added up to a high bill. Reviewers also mention a noisy room at lunchtime, yet one says conversation stayed easy.

“This is a welcoming place and the staff greet you as soon as you walk through the door. Great selection of food at lunchtime and at reasonable prices. Food was good and the staff have a sense of humour and stop and chat to the customers. This is very important to interact and is a game changer. Large portions and big cakes. Lots of parking, toilets and you can wonder round the farm.”

“Well ..60th birthday meal and wasn't i in for a treat . Trevaskis Farm had an offer on 3 courses for £25.95 . Thinking they would be bog standard meals but I couldn't be so far wrong . Sat down waitress was very attentive think her name was Emalea , asked us for drinks and then what food we wanted . We ordered roasted pumpkin, chilli and ginger soup for the wife and I had Jamaican jerk rib .. both were amazing and quality wow. Mains we both went for beef cheek creamed potato roasted wild mushrooms kale jus and crispy shallots. And we was also given complementary dauphiniore potato's with more veg . I asked for a little more jus (gravy) which was brought immediately. Both starters and mains were quality and cooked to perfection . We were both full so took our desserts home as take away.. So much choice I had a massive cream eclair and my wife chocolate and coconut torte . I spoke to the manager to express my gratitude for making my 60th so special Thank you so much everyone involved at Trevaskis Farm cannot compliment you enough . See you all v soon anf thanks again x”

“I had a great roast which they were able to adapt for us. The dessert counter has a great selection although I felt my crumble was warmed up a bit too much so became very mushy. The room we were in also got very warm on a sunny day. The pick your own was great fun and great value. I also liked the farm shop and it was nice to see the farm animals. I will definitely visit again!”

“We both had steaks extra onion rings and steak sauces. I would say that the meat is the star of the show. It really is fresh and delicious. The steamed veg was good, could have done with some butter. Dessert was massive and rounded off the meal well. Everything else just misses the mark by a bit. As an example: one of the portions of chips was good (chunky, crisp and well cooked) the other was a ratty ends that you would get at the bottom of a chip shop’s tray. The gratin was nice but the cheese wasn’t melted so it became an oily lump that slid off. The Diane sauce was too full of thickener and lacking in flavour. Service was good, the venue was good with a banging playlist.”

“We always have Sunday lunch at the restaurant every time we come to Cornwall, so it's become a real tradition for us. It never disappoints. The food is always abundant, incredibly tasty, fresh and locally sourced. This time we had the lamb and chicken roast and they were exceptional as ever. The chicken was so juicy and flavoursome and the trimmings very generous. Perfectly cooked roast potatoes and lovely crunchy Yorkshire puddings. The service is always very friendly and attentive and the massive selection of puddings are to die for. Only issue is that its hard to choose what to have. The portions are also enormous so brace yourself and make sure you leave enough room. All in all, I would always recommend this place for its amazing food, jovial, friendly atmosphere, great staff, friendly efficient service, and its legendary deserts.”
