About The Food Stop
The Food Stop is a takeaway at 66 Bell St in Glasgow's Merchant City. Rolls and wraps make up the main range, including a bacon, lorne sausage and black pudding roll and a bacon and link sausage roll, which takes a fried egg on request. Lentil soup is sold in cups and large sizes, and curry is also on the menu. The shop does not stock gluten-free rolls, but staff will fill rolls that customers bring in themselves, so gluten-free customers can still order a filled roll.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers mostly come for the rolls, especially the bacon, lorne sausage and black pudding roll, and one reviewer's tip is to add link sausage and ask for a gooey fried egg on a breakfast roll. Wraps and a roll doubler also get praise, and diners call the lentil and minestrone soup the best they have had. A curry gets a recommendation too. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, chatty and lovely, and several reviewers call the prices reasonable or cheap. One reviewer notes that gluten free rolls were not available, but staff filled rolls bought from a nearby shop. The criticism is about consistency and value. One regular found a breakfast hard and overcooked, with bacon too tough to eat and the square sausage left unfinished, though they expect to return for a roll instead. Another says they were short changed by a pound on a large lentil soup, which they still found very tasty, and said they would not return. A third was put off by a wrap that tasted strongly of smoke and was slower than other orders.
