  “The menu has a good variety for both seafood lovers and meat eaters, which is why I stuck with this place for a birthday dinner with friends. We ended up sticking to seafood anyways - everything was delicious and portions were nice and generous. The sticky toffee pudding which was served as my birthday surprise wasn't the most edible, but I still appreciated how nice the waiter and gesture was and the atmosphere was lovely.”

  “The restaurant is very lovely. Great atmosphere. The server was great, the food did not disappoint. I had the smash burger. The portion was huge. The burger was delicious. Could only eat half!! It’s definitely somewhere I would go again.”

  “Returned on 19Aug 2026, Brought my other friends here for lunch and all of us were very pleased with our food! The steak was of good quality and grilled to perfection, the chips were crunchy and tasty, smoked salmon starter was delightful, my friend couldn’t stop raving about his pan-fried cod cooked in creamy sauce with mussels and clams, while another friend licked clean his bowl of Thai green curry veggie served with rice. The table wine was decent and the Service was impeccable. Our total bill came up to £120+ included tax for 4 of us with 2 wines and coffee. Will be back soon. A friend recommended Table28 for our dinner gathering and our dinner turned out to be a great one! Attentive and accommodating server, although we waited a little longer than usual for our dinner, every single dish was well cooked and well presented. All of us were so happy with our scran! Portions were big, fresh, tasty and the price was reasonable. Definitely will come back! 👍🏼”

  “Warm welcome and seated quickly, offered drinks while waiting for our friends to arrive. Ordering was straight forward, taken quickly and easily (or so it appeared). Restaurant wasn't overly busy, but had a few other patrons. Sadly, after 30 minutes or so, we hadn't gotten our starters, assume it was the manager who approached and apologised, who said there was an issue, and the starters were being redone and will be out in a few minutes, few minutes passed, no sign of our starters (bout 40 minutes after ordering them now), approached again to be told that they were being plated, but considering the wait, it would have been nice if we'd be offered a complimentary drink or desert at the end of our meal due to the delay. Afraid not, pretty poor customer service sadly. Food when it came out was really good. Starters of haggis scotch egg and the croquettes, with mains of mussels and lamb shank or shoulder (can't remember). I didn't ask for a discount, but if a mistake has been made in the service, it should be remedied ( and they added 10% service charge) Disappointed, and probably won't return.”

  “The burger was delicious as was the dessert. They do a really reasonably priced lunch menu. £12-18 for one to three courses per person. We did 2 courses and a soft drink, it cost about £20 each including tip. Its quite rare these days to eat out in a pretty setting with friendly and attentive staff for that price. I'd go back and I'd recommend, you won't be disappointed.”

  “What a delightful experience, service lovely and relaxed, waiter suggested the chicken which I would never go for, I always go for the beef. The bone marrow gravy was rich and hearty, the chicken succulent, roast potatoes perfect, carrots delicious, Nero cabbage amazing, other veg with roasted jar red peppers wow. Yorkies looked over done but tasted lovely. Amazing Sunday lunch just delicious. 😊”

  “The steak was melt-in-the-mouth delicious — I didn’t even need a steak knife! £70 for Chateaubriand with 2 x sides, 2 x sauces, and a bottle of wine - enough for 2 people - felt like great value for the quality. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaging. Cocktails made the perfect dessert — absolutely divine. I literally recommend this place to everyone! I wish you could taste these photos 👌”

  “Absolutely amazing cocktail brunch deal - we booked the restaurant for my friends low key hen party. The staff couldn’t have been nicer / more efficient from booking to the service on the day. Super accommodating and patient with a big group. The cocktails were wonderful and the food was outrageously good! Highlights were definitely the steak sandwich and the burger looked insane - portions were big! We were kindly allowed in early to set the table with some decorations and even though the table was a big mix of ages, absolutely every person was really impressed. Hospitality is a hard graft, but these guys make it look easy 🖤 thanks so much team 28 for being so accommodating and making sure my friend had the best day.”

  “We ordered the burger, chicken club, croquettes, the dauphinoise potatoes, and the Fashionista cocktail and it was all amazing! We started this holiday in London, then to Edinburgh, and only a day trip to Glasgow and this was by far the best meal we've had in ten days. Be forewarned, the sandwiches do come with chips, even though it doesn't state that on the menu, and they are just so crispy!! Make sure you go here, it's definitely worth it.”

  “Excellent food. The burger is fantastic. A tower freshly made with crispy fries. I really enjoyed my lunch. This was one of my top 10 burgers of all times. The salmon was just as amazing. Cooked to perfection, the flavours were amazing. Our server was great, bringing us water without being asked and did not try to push unwanted drinks upon us, which was appreciated. I would definitely recommend this establishment.”
