Customer Review Summary

Poached eggs and Benedicts anchor the praise, from the Eggs Benny with Stornoway black pudding and poached eggs with black pudding and hollandaise to eggs royale, eggs Benedict with salmon, and a haggis Benedict special one reviewer says should be a regular. Reviewers describe the eggs as runny but not undercooked, with just enough hollandaise. Coffee comes close behind, with the flat whites, an Americano and Papercup Coffee singled out, along with a chai latte and a coconut mango matcha special. Also mentioned are the French toast with fresh fruit and maple syrup in a huge portion, kimchi sourdough, banana loaf, and vegetarian and vegan options. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, warm and attentive, and prices are described as reasonable. Complaints are small: one reviewer found the decaf flat white sour and under extracted, and another thought the orange juice slightly watery. Several describe a busy room, and one group seated outside because of the crowd was moved indoors at the next available table as the weather turned.

“A lovely place for brunch in the heart of the Merchant City in Glasgow. The eggs royale were delicious, as was the banana loaf. The decaf flat white was slightly on the sour side (under extracted). The service was very friendly and efficient, so I would be very happy to return.”

“I'm not a breakfast or brunch person but I thought I'd give it a try. It was really good! Especially the Americano, it was one of the best I've had. Everything was perfectly cooked and didn't need additional seasoning (I'm a big seasoning person). It's reasonably priced and the staff are very kind. They have plenty bathrooms, even downstairs so I can poop in peace. Thanks again!”

“Found this by accident and it was such a pleasant surprise. Service was excellent and servers were so warm and attentive. We were seated outside initially due to the crowd, but with the looming unpredictable weather, they quickly sat us inside with the next available table. Food was amazing, we got the eggs Benedict with salmon, the kimchi sourdough, banana bread. I also got the special coconut mango matcha, which was so refreshing. Highly recommend !! Please go if you ever have the chance to come to Glasgow.”

“Fantastic choice of breakfast options. I opted for the poached eggs with black pudding and hollandaise sauce, and they didn’t disappoint. They were the best poached eggs I have ever had. I also had a ginger and lemongrass tea. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing, the prices were very reasonable, and the staff were friendly. I will definitely go back”

“Highly recommend brunch here. We had the special poached eggs with hot smoked salmon and hash browns and it was amazing. Very friendly staff and very well priced. Also had the best chai latte ever. Sat outside because inside was full but it was lovely.”
