About Granny Gibbs Public House
On Dumbarton Rd in Glasgow, Granny Gibbs Public House is a pub and bar that welcomes walk-ins rather than taking bookings. Live music and pub bands feature regularly, giving the space a recurring draw beyond standard drinking hours. No food is served at the bar, so the focus stays on drinks. A step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance serves visitors with mobility needs, and outdoor seating gives an option for those who prefer to sit outside. The pub opens daily, keeping a consistent schedule across the week. Free WiFi is offered for those who want to stay connected while they drink, though no pay per view sports are shown here. Together, the setup favours a straightforward walk-in visit built around live music and conversation rather than food or televised sport.

Customer Review Summary
Live music is what reviewers return to most, with pub bands and dancing described as always outstanding, and one reviewer was surprised by how busy a Wednesday afternoon was with customers clearly having a brilliant time. Close behind is the friendly, community feel, with several praising the nice staff and punters and calling it homely, quirky and not fancy. One reviewer points to the curiosities, ceramic beer jugs and tartan, and another to the lots of comfortable seating and space to converse. Reviewers also mention reasonable prices for a round, free WiFi, and plenty of outdoor space. Food gets mixed mentions: one reviewer enjoyed a small carvery and a small breakfast with coffee and toast, while others note the pub has no food. One reviewer who arrived looking for a meal reports being told abruptly there was no food and being pushed to sit outside because of an assistance dog, and says they will not return. Another notes there are no pay per view sports. Regulars sum it up as being like back home.

“We entered ur establishment this evening looking for some food, we were told very abruptly by the bar lady that they didnt do food, and she was trying to put us outside as we had an assistance dog with us, she was not interested whether or not our dog was an assistsnce dog, not customer friendly. Will certainly not visit again, with or without our dog.”
