Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the sharing plates, with vegetarians in particular praising the range of choices. The warm beetroot, padron peppers with tamarind, prawns and chorizo, black garlic flatbread, slow-cooked lamb and sea bass each get named, and one reviewer describes grilled cabbage with peanut butter and toasted coconut as unreal. Close behind is the welcome, with reviewers describing a warm family atmosphere and staff who walk them through the menu and share favourites. Drinks and sweets earn mentions too, including a rich hot chocolate, a Cafe Bombon, a brownie and fruit loaf with cheese. The recurring caveat is cost. One lunch for two left a reviewer feeling the chicken (three pieces) and prawns (five) were small for the bill, and the charred cabbage with Marmite was curious but not a success. Another found the log burner made the room too hot, and a further reviewer called it pricy but a nice treat. Several saw people turned away without a booking, and one suggests reserving ahead.

“I cannot rate this place highly enough. We went for my birthday on a Friday night and the atmosphere was warm, relaxed and comfortable. All the staff took care of us so well, taking time to have a chat which we appreciated. The food was heavenly. The prawns and chorizo simply incredible and the black garlic flatbread beautiful. The sea bass the best we have had. We have eaten in lots of places across the Highlands and I think this is the best. Fabulous to finish the meal with a Cafe Bombon! Thank you to Emma and all the lovely folks at IV10 for being so brilliant!”

“We stumbled upon this place by chance and were pleasantly surprised. The food was incredibly flavorful, with more refined and unusual dishes than what we had tried at other places. The slow-cooked lamb was absolutely delicious, and we also loved the bruschetta with beetroot and broccoli. worth a visit.”

“We are local, but this week was our first time visiting IV10 and it will definitely not be our last! The food from start to finish was absolutely divine. It is sharing plates/tapas style, but the portions are generous and presented beautifully. I am vegetarian and my partner is a meat eater and there were plenty of options to cater for both of us. It was really difficult to whittle down what to pick as it was all so lovely, so we ended up selecting most of the items off the menu! The waitress did recommend a certain amount of dishes to share to start with, but we ended up ordering more as we wanted to try everything! Highly recommend and we will certainly be back!”

“Best dinner we’ve had on our 2 week trip to Scotland! Grilled cabbage with peanut butter and toasted coconut! Unreal”

“We were delighted with our lunch experience at IV10. The front of house staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The decor was so beautiful and thoughtfully considered. Also a carefully curated collection of items in the little shop section for treats or gifts. Will look forward to returning in the future. Thank you to the lovely staff! 😊”
