Everything was just like we are used to, quality so good you could taste the love it was made with. They're welcomed us like family. Can't wait to return when we visit filey again...   “We have always enjoyed the food here before but this was a huge disappointment. Stir fry tagliatelle was boiled carrot, cauliflower and peas with tomato sauce, stired into pasta. Awful really. Sirloin steak with mushrooms was tasteless. However the service was , as always, excellent.”

  “Been 7 times now. Each time it has felt a little more disappointing... The first time, we were blown away by the food - though never once had a check back.... The second time, the food wasn't quite up to the first. The third time was Christmas 2025; it was quite poor, and the waitress was more interested in touting for tips... 🙄 Not sure if there were medical problems at that point, but we were empathetic. The last few few visits have been disappointing. Staff complaining loudly about expenses increasing, for example. Embarrassing and awkward! Side salad, the most expensive and basic ever! For a number of veggie side dishes (we don't eat meat), and a hefty bill, we most certainly won't be back sadly.”

  “Was lovely and quiet when we came. THE BEST WAITER I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS! MITCH thank you for your service, it was amazing, you made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we walked in!   “There was a huge table in when I arrived but even with them trying to cover a table of 30 plus walk ins, I had a wry enjoyable meal. Tasted good, and came out in good time, main was hot and ice cream was cold - couldn’t ask for any more. The lady that served me (with glasses) was great and was on top of everything.”

  “Unbelievable little find. Stopped off at Filey, had a little walk around and popped into this authentic Italian restaurant. Highly recommended the meatballs, the tomatoes based sause is to die for. Staff ate wonderful, to top it all a quartet came in playing music!!!! Great night. I recommend the merit.”
