  “What an amazing experience at Scarborough! We visited Scarborough Beach on the 24th of May 2026 during the Bank Holiday weekend, and the weather was absolutely perfect - scorching hot sunshine and an amazing atmosphere. It was also my personal first visit to Scarborough Beach, so it made the day even more special. We came as a big family, and towards the end of the day, we started looking for somewhere nice to eat. And honestly, what else do you eat at the seaside other than proper fish and chips? One of our key requirements was finding fish cooked separately in vegetable oil due to halal dietary needs, and thankfully we came across this gem of a place. Talha and Hayat were absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. The hospitality, friendliness, and customer service were genuinely outstanding. From the outside, it may not look like there’s much seating available, but don’t be fooled - there’s plenty of comfortable seating inside, and they accommodated our large family with no issues at all. What also impressed us was the variety available. One of our family members wanted a vegetarian option, and surprisingly for a fish and chip shop, they had a proper full vegetarian platter available too - which was thoroughly enjoyed! The food was fresh, delicious, and exactly what you’d hope for after a day at the seaside. The portion sizes were also very generous, which made the experience even better. But more than that, it was the warmth and effort from the team that made the visit truly memorable. Highly recommended. Talha, Hayat, and the whole team are doing an outstanding job, and we will absolutely be returning again. Thank you for making our first Scarborough trip even more special!”

  “Visited Scarborough Fish and Chips with the family and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. One of the things that stood out to us was that everything is halal, and you can really tell they take pride in using fresh fish and fresh oil. The restaurant/takeaway itself was clean, welcoming, and had ample seating for around 15 people, making it a comfortable place for families to enjoy a meal together. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our visit. We ordered around 10 portions of the small fish and chips, and every single one was cooked to perfection. The fish was fresh, flaky, and full of flavour, while the chips were delicious and not overly oily. It was clear that care and attention had gone into preparing each meal. The hospitality was exceptional, and everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed their food. It's always refreshing to find a place that delivers both quality food and excellent customer service. We would happily visit again and would highly recommend Scarborough Fish and Chips to anyone looking for fresh, tasty fish and chips in a welcoming environment.”

  “The wife and I went looking for good Fish and chips....we found it..I first have to tell you about the staff. They were adorable. We chatted while ordering and I felt like we left as friends. The fish and chips were great, but the curry was worth traveling to the other side of Scarborough for. Amazing. Give it a try.”

  “100% halal everything was freshly made. Staff are very nice and helpful. They even gave free food to sample. Proper chip shop curry sauce and thick, chunky chippy chips. Fish is large, tasty and super crispy just how we like it. Would recommend 10/10.”

  “All right, guys, you can officially stop the search because I have found the absolute holy grail of fish and chips right here in Scarborough! 🌊🐟 I’ve toured pretty much every seaside town on the map, but this spot? It’s playing in a completely different league. Seriously, it’s a 10/10!!! The low down: * The Fish: Total perfection. We’re talking flaky, fresh white fish encased in this incredible golden batter that’s actually crispy. Not cased in grease in as other sight so resulting in zero sogginess. * The Chips: You know when chips get that sad, limp texture? Not here. These were cooked to absolute perfection with that ideal crunch-to-fluff ratio. * The Vibes: The staff are legends—super professional, incredibly friendly, and they clearly know their craft. Honestly, if you find yourself anywhere near Scarborough, you need to get yourself over here. I’ve had a lot of chippies in my time, but this was second to none. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.”

  “When I say this is the second best fish & chips I've ever had I'm not damning with faint praise - this place is the real deal and the food is fantastic! Great portions, beautifully battered fresh fish and flavourful, non-greasy chips. Away from the overpriced tourist nonsense, this is the real deal; a traditional corner chippy with a timeless authenticity. Highly recommended.”

  “We had a fantastic meal here! The fish and chips were incredibly fresh and delicious, the batter was perfectly crispy, and the fish itself was wonderfully flaky. While the "large" portion of fish could have been a bit bigger, the serving of chips was very generous and definitely made for a satisfying meal. A highlight was the free sample of curry sauce, which was absolutely delicious. We also really appreciated the staff’s great advice on the best spots to sit and enjoy the food with a beautiful view of the water. Highly recommended!”

  “My dad and I went here this evening and sat in the cafe part of it. We had regular haddock and chips with mushy peas and it was lovely. The fish was tasty and the batter was very nice. Great chips and peas and service with a smile. I'd definitely recommend eating here.”
