About Bodega 18 Falmouth
Bodega 18 Falmouth is a Spanish tapas restaurant in Falmouth, at 46 Arwenack St. The menu is built around small plates that are ordered a few at a time and shared across the table, with pigs cheeks, meatballs and truffle patatas among the dishes. Around six plates is a typical order for two people. The drinks list covers wine, beer and cocktails, so a meal can be matched with a glass from the bar. Guests sit upstairs or at the bar.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the meatballs and the pigs cheeks, with the braised carrots, honey aubergine, truffle patatas and croquetas close behind. Others mention crab combos, chorizo, patatas bravas, pollock, and a cheesecake and Orange Spanish crème caramel for dessert. Wine gets praise too, including a Rioja matched with the croquetas, and one reviewer calls the raspberry mojito excellent. Service is a steady theme, with friendly, attentive staff who answer questions about cocktails and the playlist, and who flagged which dishes were running low so one table could order them straight away. Several suggest booking ahead, though a few walked in and were fitted in. The caveats are about value and portions. One reviewer says it is not the cheapest and that tapas arrive in uneven sizes, with a huge cheek but small prawns. Another found nothing particularly special and thought the soft shell crab would be better without the shell. One returning diner calls all three visits consistently excellent.

“We visited Falmouth in June 2026 and this place was a true highlight of a superb weekend. The food was exceptional, the service fun and friendly, the venue is exquisite. We hadn't booked but chanced it and struck lucky. We sat at the bar, had the various vegetarian tapas options and beers, loved it all and will be back again soon. The vibe is fun and friendly, the team front and back of house were helpful, tipped us to which dishes they were running low on so we could order them straight away if we wanted, made time to chat and just added to the all round great experience. If you're heading to Falmouth do check this place out.”

“We had an excellent meal here whilst staying in Falmouth. The food was delicious and the service was superb, definitely the food highlight of the holiday! Would definitely recommend the braised carrots and meatballs, but it was all great.”

“Really wonderful Tapas in Falmouth. Great service and excellent Tapas. Enjoyed enormously . Chef really skilled and intuitive . Cheesecake and Orange Spanish crème caramel sublime . Thank you and we will be back for sure . Recommend booking in advance . We were fortunate to secure a “ walk in table “ mid week.”

“After 25km of walking (somewhere between “invigorating hike” and “questionable life decision”), we staggered into Bodega Eighteen fully prepared to eat anything that didn’t run away… and somehow ended up having one of the best meals we’ve had in ages. From the moment the door opened, the staff were on it — the kind of service that makes you feel like you’ve just arrived at a long-awaited reunion rather than limping in with tired legs and questionable posture. Attentive, genuinely warm, and perfectly timed (no small feat when we were eyeing the menu like it was survival rations). The food? Outstanding. Crab combos that disappeared faster than our energy levels, meatballs that could probably solve global conflicts, chorizo with just the right level of attitude, and patatas bravas that were absolutely not shared equally (purely accidental, of course). Add in a buzzing atmosphere, excellent wine (which may or may not have improved our walking stories), and you’ve got a place that turns “we need food immediately” into “we might just live here now.” If you arrive exhausted, you’ll leave restored — and possibly already planning your return.”

“Very good tapas restaurant with a good choice of tapas and drinks. Great service from friendly staff. Would recommend booking if thinking of eating at popular times (although we didn't and they were just able to fit us in).”
