Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the warm, friendly staff and quick service, with several describing a relaxed, chilled atmosphere and a returning-customer feel, including simple breakfasts of gluten free toast with jam and a toasted teacake. Close behind is food described as good value, along with the decor and art, and one diner points to the Dan Dan noodles as looking especially good. Noise is a recurring note, with a few mentioning loud music or a busy room. The kitchen draws the sharpest complaints. One reviewer waited 40 minutes for three small plates after a matching tapas board went to another table. Another waited 20 minutes for a drink, then found poached eggs on a muffin leaking water instead of yolk. A third found the chicken sandwich dry and chewy with overcooked fries. One reviewer also describes dirty floors and smoked salmon in the lounge eggs that tasted off. The same reviewer who waited for tapas says a server chased them down the street over pita bread they had already paid for at the bar.

“I'm so disappointed in this restaurant as it used to be so good and clean but it's really gone downhill. With a hygiene rating of 3 as well - very gross. Everywhere was dirty - floors etc and the food didn't taste good. I had the lounge eggs with smoked salmon and the salmon didn't taste fresh at all. Very disappointed as years ago it was a lot better.”

“A wonderful, modern & highly inviting food and beverage Restaurant. The atmosphere is so comfortable and inviting. I enjoyed a delicious meal which was served piping hot at a very good price. The best bit was the service. So warm, helpful, polite and welcoming. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and look forward to going back again.”

“Lovely food and cosy atmosphere, Amy was an amazing server I mentioned I was having some over stimulation from the music volume and she was super accommodating and inclusive. Very understanding and sweet, a credit to her team and made my night. Thank you so much for the lovely experience and hope you get recognition for your kindness!”

“A few of us popped in for food. I had the chicken sandwich which comes with fries. Sadly the chicken was ridiculously dry chewy and fries were very over cooked and not good. I will say all the others had different options which all looked good especially the I think Dan Dan noodles.”

“I had breakfast here a few weeks ago. At first I was excited as the decor inside is fantastic. I went upstairs, chose a seat and ordered through the QR code, great. However, I then had a long wait of 20 minutes for ‘one’ of my drinks to arrive. The waiter was very polite and apologised, but considering there was only myself and another two tables occupied I was very annoyed with the delay. Nevertheless, I waited for my food. I ordered poached eggs on a muffin with mushrooms. Another 15/20 minutes later my food and other had drink arrived. I sliced my eggs, to find not yolk pouring out but water and lots of it. There was so much water on my plate that my muffins went soggy. For the quality of the food, it is very expensive. I will definitely not be eating here again or recommending it. Simply put, very disappointed and left hungry!”
