  “The atmosphere is great and the food omg ! Just had the halloumi burger and could not recommend it more, even thought it doesn’t contain meat the onion ring on top is the star of the burger and replaces easily the meat taste ! 🍔”

  “We could hear the kitchen staff having a great time. They had to be asked to keep it down. The garlic prawns were served shell-on, which isn't stated on the menu. The guest shouldn't have to perform the labour the kitchen is too lazy to perform. It took me an age to shell them, and I had to *ask* for a finger bowl. Once the shells were removed, there was no flavour whatsoever. The venue doesn't have parking.”

  “I was told this would be good but we were blown away by an epic Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Gorgeous atmosphere inside but we sat out as it was a sunny day. Bite inside the Yorkshire puddings and there's brisket inside! Great value, delicious food done right and attentive staff. I have a good appetite and couldn't finish it all - so enjoyed leftovers the next day too-absolute win! Look forward to going back to try the weekday menu next time I'm in town for sure”

  “Thomas Daniel Pub is in a handy location and the food is okay overall. It’s convenient and does the job, but I think the menu could be more creative. The ingredients feel quite generic and there isn’t much of a unique selling point compared with other pubs. It would be great to see a stronger focus on higher quality ingredients, local suppliers or organic produce to make the food stand out more. Good location, but the food could be elevated.”

  “Very good. Top of the hill by the monument. Old pub converted to restaurant and wine bar. Shabby chic is what they are aiming for, I think. Not busy when we visited, on a Monday lunch. Excellent, friendly service and really nice meal.”

  “Managed to squeeze in a booking on the Saturday evening. Really nice place and ambience Staff were super friendly and attentive during our meal. Had chicken and pavlova. Food was great and a good selection of drinks including local skinners beers. It was a little lively with plenty of drinkers both inside and out too. Will definitely return. Updated. Had a steak on 11/04. Was excellent. Great portion size and perfectly cooked. The peppercorn source was a little overwhelming but luckily didnt put too much on. Staff were great and really nice atmosphere.”

  “If you are looking for a spot where the locals hang out, The Thomas Daniell in Truro is it. The atmosphere is fantastic—you can really tell it's a local favourite with a great, lively energy. The Food: The fish and chips are absolutely amazing 🤩. They use high-quality cod that is perfectly flaky and, unlike many other places, it stays together and doesn't break apart. The batter is super crispy and not greasy at all. Meat Dishes: The pork ribs are amazing—succulent and packed with flavour. Another standout is the Korean sticky beef, which is definitely worth ordering for that perfect hit of sweet and spice. Drinks: They have a great selection of beers and the gold cider is a personal favourite—crisp and refreshing. Service & Value: The servers are incredibly attentive and make you feel right at home. For the quality of food you get, the prices are very reasonable, making it a great all-around spot for a meal. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!”

  “I had the ribs and schnitzel at Thomas Daniel and really enjoyed the food. The ribs were tender and full of flavor, while the schnitzel was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Generous portions and a nice balance of seasoning made it a satisfying meal. Definitely a good spot if you’re craving hearty comfort food.”

  “The Thomas Daniell, what can I say? It is absolutely fantastic. The staff are very friendly, polite, and very welcoming. Great beers, great food, a very nice pub, clean, lovely decor, a nice seating area at the front of the pub, and a beautiful flower garden. Cheers, Vince.”

  “Went on a Friday night , firstly the place was busy but a nice busy the atmosphere was very nice it felt under control by the staff. To start we had the squid which was probably the best I’ve had , you can really tell it’s fresh. As for the mains I had the beef brisket which tasted great ! The gravy was a highlight. My partner had the fish and chips , chips were delightful and fish was pretty decent but nothing special . I thought the service was brilliant, very attentive and friendly. Didn’t catch our waiters name but he told us they were even a staff member down on the night , never would of guessed. Overall 5/5 experience”
