About Grace Arms
Grace Arms is a pub on Stanney Ln in Ellesmere Port that pairs a flame-grilled pub grub menu with a kids' outdoor play area. The bar is split into a family side and an adult-only side, and both sides have screens for sport. Alongside the grill, the food menu lists fish and chips and lamb kofta, and the flatbread meals come with chips as an optional paid extra. Food can be ordered from the table, while desserts are ordered at the bar. A 2 for 1 deal and a "bogof" burger deal run on the food side. The pub is walk-in, and dogs are welcome. An outside bar is currently being built.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff are the most frequent draw, and reviewers say it feels like a proper pub. Food earns steady praise too, led by the buy one get one free burger deal and the 2 for 1 offers, plus fish and chips, lamb kofta, apple pie, and cheesy chips with a good Guinness. Dogs are welcome, and one reviewer notes it gets busy for big sports events, with screens on both the family and adult sides. Two reviewers were let down. One found the chips with a flatbread meal overcooked and rock hard, and advises against paying extra for sides. Another calls the fish inedible and reports chicken fajitas, rib eye and Dr Pepper unavailable, with more mac and cheese refused because the kitchen had closed just after nine. Elsewhere, one visitor describes a bartender who advised on mixing drinks and paid for a shot they were unsure about.

“Went to The Grace for some food. Haven't been for a while and was pleasantly surprised with the food and drinks served. Got the bogof burger deal, which was definitely worth it. We will be coming back, and thank you, Jay, for looking after us!”

“The only thing that let me down on my meal was the chips being overcooked—they seriously need to be improved. They were like biting into a hard sweet; the outside was rock hard and they were terrible to eat. When you pay extra for a flatbread meal—whether you add on chips, french fries, or whatever you want to call them—you expect them to be good. My advice: do not pay extra for anything. Just get the main meal and that's it, because paying extra for sides like this just feels like a way to make you spend more for terrible quality.”

“The staff, atmosphere and punters at the Grace Arms are always very friendly. It's a great pub for locals and visitors alike with a wide selection of drinks and a great selection of food. Having eaten here a number of times, we've never been disappointed, especially on a quiet early week day visit. The 2 for 1 offers are amazing value for money in these difficult times. Note/ Be warned it can be busy for BIG sports events, as they have screens in the family and adult only sides of the bar. Bonus feature... It's Dog Friendly, so you will encounter 4 legged friends..”

“Food was awful, KFC do better chicken and chips and cost a lot less. Fish was inedible. Lots on the menu that they didn’t have… from Chicken fajitas to the Rib eye to Dr Pepper (which they claimed they never had in stock, yet it’s on the menu so go figure) when they served we asked for another side of mac and cheese but was told the kitchen was closed. It was 5 mins past 9pm to say they couldn’t care less is an understatement.”
