“From the moment we arrived, Lucas and Sam made us feel genuinely welcome. Their service was warm, attentive and effortless, and nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you to Lucas, who went above and beyond to make everything happen and ensured we had such a wonderful experience. A special thank you as well to the chef, who was incredibly accommodating with our request. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavour and perfectly presented. The atmosphere, the service and the food came together to create one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in quite some time. It’s rare to find a restaurant that gets every element just right, but The Chester Fields certainly does. I can’t wait to return.”

“Had my 60th birthday meal at the chesterfield, paid extra £200.00 to hire the room upstairs which was lovely and private. I had a roast lamb which was ok potatoes were cold vegetables were very limited on the plate. The lamb was but the best The service at the table I could not fault a young girl was our waitress for the day and was lovely and looked after us all . However, I cannot say this for the rest of the staff the male op behind the bar was rude impatient and generally had a poor attitude Another member of staff called Annabel was just as rude I understand that they may come back and say that they were busy on that day, which is fine, but manners cost nothing Without disrespect, I think some of the staff need to go back into training On customer service We accepted that the room would be warm As the weather had been Unseasonably hot they did however put 2 air con machine in the room these weren’t working as they had no water in them, we asked several times for water to fill them no one ever came to do this. So what’s the point in these if they don’t work or no one can be bothered to fill them up, The room was uncomfortably warm so we didn’t use the room fully as intended because of this and we had to sit outside after our meal Also upon booking and paying the extra for the room we were told that the bar was open till 11pm on the Sunday as this is what I checked as I made the payment in January But the man from behind the bar had tried to tell us last orders were 8.30pm when I questioned this his reply was Well suppose I will have to stay open then and just walked away. There were 16 people in the party group each spending over £150 if not more on the food and drinks, not asking to be treated in any special way, just more manners and courtesy and you felt like you were being a pain if you asked the staff behind the bar for anything There was a service charge on the bill, which we were happy to pay, but to be honest it should go Direct me to that young girl who was our waitress for the day as she was the only one that has manners What a shame it’s a lovely location”

“My new absolute favourite place to go for a roast, the restaurant itself was absolutely stunning, the food was really really nice I had roast lamb and all of it was perfect and I couldn’t get over the price only £19. The staff were really really friendly. I look forward to going back there.”

“Went on a road trip with my sister and drove past Chester Fields, so we decided to call in – and we're so glad we did! We were shown to a lovely table upstairs with a fantastic view by Kat, who was outstanding from the start. She offered great food recommendations and was genuinely lovely throughout our visit. The food was all delicious, and Kat's recommendation of the brûlée cheesecake was the best dessert we've had in a long time. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and amazing food. We'll definitely be back!”
