Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often come for the all-you-can-eat beef and seafood, with thinly sliced beef and lamb singled out and described as fresh and restocked quickly. The broths draw close attention, including Tom Yum, spicy mala and a mushroom base, and the chilli sauces at the sauce station are called authentic. Beyond the pot, diners mention Chinese cold dishes, braised pig's ear that one child loved, small starters and fresh fruit. Weekend nights are seen as pricier than some other hot pot spots, while workday lunches are called good value. The complaints are small but specific: a wait at peak hours that moved fast, soft drinks that were not very cold and came with no ice, children's pricing not clearly shown on the menu, and coriander that tasted like old boots to one diner. One reviewer advises wearing short sleeves as a base layer, since it gets hot once the pot starts boiling.

“Authentic Chinese hotpot in Edinburgh. You can’t miss it! There’s a great variety of beef and seafood, and everything was really good and tasty. It’s all-you-can-eat, and the price is really affordable. Definitely worth a try!”

“Great value for an all-you-can-eat hotpot spot. The broth options were flavorful—we went with the spicy mala and a mushroom base, and both held up well throughout the meal. Meat and seafood were fresh and restocked quickly, and the sauce bar had all the essentials. Service was attentive without hovering, and staff cleared plates promptly. The only downside was a bit of a wait during peak hours, but it moved fast. Would definitely come back.”

“Two of us ordered a hotpot with two soup bases: Tom Yum and spicy broth. The Tom Yum was fantastic. As I’d already eaten dinner and was very full, I mainly tried the vegetables and dipping sauces. The Chinese cabbage was delicious, though the coriander tasted like old boots. The dipping sauces were authentic, especially the chilli sauces. The décor is very basic and reminded me of a small restaurant in a rural town in central-west China. If you fancy experiencing a relatively real Chinese rural setting, this place is worth a visit.”

“£25 per adult is quite good. Bottomless soda is 3 something. It’s a proper self-service hot pot buffet, with plenty of vegetables, cooked dishes, highlight is seafood and thinly sliced beef and lamb. I especially liked the Chinese cold dishes, while my 11-year-old loved the braised pig’s ear, which we haven’t really seen at other all-you-can-eat places in Edinburgh. He was charged half price, although the children’s pricing wasn’t clearly shown on the menu. Seating is spacious, the facilities were clean, and the fruit was fresh. One small heads-up: the soft drinks weren’t very cold and there was no ice. Also, wear short sleeves as base layer no matter of the seasons — it gets hot once the pot starts boiling. Single diner is welcomed as I notice.”

“I came here to celebrate my best friend’s birthday and we had such a wonderful experience! The restaurant was very clean with a lovely atmosphere that made the whole evening feel comfortable and relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. The food ingredients were fresh and high quality, and you could really taste the difference in the broths — rich, authentic, and not full of artificial flavors like many other hot pot places. Everything from the service to the food exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious hot pot and a great dining experience! We’ll definitely come back.”
