Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, helpful staff, with one server repeatedly praised for being polite and going out of his way, and others noting that nothing was too much trouble. Food gets good marks too: dirty fries, a halloumi burger, Eton mess and an apple and toffee crumble at Sunday lunch are named, and one family calls their lunch delicious. Close behind are the pub garden and terrace, which reviewers describe as great and beautiful, with a big green space where one parent's kids played safely, plus a cocktail and drinks menu and a relaxed atmosphere. One reviewer found the food only ok and the visits hit and miss over the years. The sharpest complaint comes from a first-time group who felt unwelcome on arrival, found the manager off putting, overheard bar staff gossiping about customers, and noted a lack of vegetarian options and no under 18s after 9pm. Another visitor could not eat because the pub was fully booked. One diner had food delivered fast after being helped to order on the website.

“The frogshole part of the ember inns group have some good deals. Food is ok. I have been coming here on and off over the years and it’s been hit and miss but today we were served by Luke and he is a great addition to the pub. He shone, had a lovely friendly personality and went out of his way for us. Totally stood out from staff in the past!”

“My family and I came as a group for drinks and dinner. It was our first time visiting and unfortunately we were extremely disappointed by the management. On arrival to the pub, the manager appeared upset and we felt unwelcome. Despite this, we stayed and put in a significant order of drinks and food. The bar staff were friendly and trying their best however we did over hear them gossiping about the customers (not positively) and every interaction we had with the manager was very off putting. There was a lack of vegetarian options and under 18s are not welcome after 9pm. Plus side: Plenty of parking and lovely garden.”

“I went to Frogshole Farm with my sister for a few drinks and had a really enjoyable time. The atmosphere was great and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special mention has to go to Luke, who provided amazing customer service throughout our visit. He was really friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome. It's always nice when staff go that extra mile to make your experience enjoyable. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended Frogshole Farm!”

“The pub was lovely , a lot more busy then i thought . we didn’t book a table but the barmaid Jasmin was lovely and made sure we found a seat . She looked after us the whole night and even helped my dad take drinks to the table . she was kind and got our food order all right even if we was a big table. The food was incredible and we didn’t wait that long for it either . The service and atmosphere was fantastic. I can’t wait for our next visit .”
