About Hoi Choi Restaurant
Hoi Choi Restaurant is a Pan-Asian restaurant in Doncaster at 36 E Laith Gate, built around an all-you-can-eat buffet-style menu with unlimited dishes. Tables order through a tablet, and each table can place an order once every 15 minutes, so the meal arrives in rounds. The menu mixes Chinese, Thai and Indian dishes with ramen, which lets a group put chicken gyozas, pad thai and lamb jalfrezi on the same table. The restaurant takes walk-ins. A cocktail list runs alongside the food, with a 2 for 1 offer.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often point to the salt and pepper dishes, both the chips and the prawns, on a wide all-you-can-eat menu of Chinese, Thai and Indian cooking ordered from a tablet. Close behind, reviewers name the chicken gyozas, lamb jalfrezi, garlic pepper fish, beef ramen and mussels. One diner rates the pad thai above versions eaten in Thailand, and another calls the curries very good. Food is described as arriving fast and warm, and staff as friendly and polite. The complaints are specific. One reviewer finds many dishes too salty or heavy with soya sauce, with some inedible. Another says portions are small, and two note the enforced pause between tablet orders. One party could not get staff attention when the tablet gave them trouble, and one reviewer objects to an automatic service charge on the bill. A two for one cocktail offer pleased one diner, and a couple celebrating their anniversary in the cozy room were surprised with complimentary champagne.

“Outstanding food, service and location. Prices according to the quality, this is not a fast food restaurant. Update: 4* as portions are small and you need to wait 15m between orders.”

“I had an amazing experience for my dinner date yesterday. The staff were polite and attentive. I went for the ‘all you can eat’ menu which offers unlimited food just for £28. Garlic pepper fish, Beef Ramen and Mussels were the highlight of my meal along with the drinks of course. Overall a must visit place and highly recommend to everyone who loves to explore pan asian cuisine.”

“Absolutely amazing place ! 😍 Every dish we tried was superb, all 3 of us couldn't be more impressed. We eat out at different places often and would struggle to beat this. Also, the pad thai is nicer than some of those ones I have had in Thailand, we will definitely return.”

“Two things: 1. This place offers buffet (order through tablet) with "unlimited" Asian menu. Its mix of Chinese, Thai and Indian. Food is average with few exceptions. Most of them are too salty or/and full of soya sauce. Currys are very good. 2. The price for this type of dining is very good. Lunch for less than £22 while last siting is 4pm sounds great. Cocktails offer: 2 for 1 made our day. In general atmosphere is good, food arrives quick ans staff is polite and nice. The only reason I gave 4* for food us fact that some of the dishes were inedible.”

“Delicious food and always fresh! I’ve never been to the restaurant in person, but I order quite often and I’m always happy with the quality. Definitely would love to visit someday. Highly recommend!”
