About Amane Tantunı Restaurant
Amane Tantunı Restaurant is a durum restaurant at 8A Nether Hall Rd in Doncaster, with a menu built around tantuni. Lahmacun sits on the same menu, and künefe is on the dessert list. Breakfast comes as a spread with many varieties, served with bread fresh out of the oven, so the morning meal has as much choice as the main menu. The food is halal, and the decor follows the same Turkish style as the cooking.

Customer Review Summary
Lahmacun draws the most repeated praise, described as fresh and tasty and just like the ones in Istanbul. Close behind are the pide, which one reviewer says transported them straight to Istanbul and another calls perfect, and the tantuni, which a first-timer called a hit. Kunefe and baklava come up repeatedly among the desserts, and the tea earns its own praise. A Turkish-language reviewer also points to a wide breakfast spread with bread fresh from the oven. Diners describe friendly, kind staff, and one received a huge plate of diced lamb with peppers and tomatoes, served with Turkish bread, salad, pickles, rice and lemon slices. A few say the Turkish feel of the place had them thinking they were in Istanbul. One diner finished with Turkish tea and two small pieces of baklava with thick Turkish cream, offered after the meal.

“I visited this eatery by pure chance I search for a Halal evening meal. As I walked in I was greeted by by 2 people I am assuming he elder gent was the boss and the younger was his employee. Warm welcome. I ordered a meal which had lots of diced lamb with peppers and tomatoes I think, seasoned very nicely. This came with a piece a a few warm pieces of Turkish bread, salad, pickles some rice and lemon 🍋 slices. I also ordered a drink. Half way through the meal the gentleman asked me if I would like some more bread which I kindly refused as the meal was huge. Later the other gent asked I everything was ok. After the meal I was offered Turkish tea a was given two small pieces of baklava ( I think) cooked only a few hours ago with some thick Turkish cream. That was really delicious. I was trying full after the meal. Total cost £18. Wonderful service. Kind people. Nice food. Full marks. Thank you 👍🏾.”
