About The Boudingait

Roast dinner and Sunday lunch are also served, and steak is available only when ordered in advance. The drinks list covers Guinness and other beers within a large range. Families can use the toys and board games kept on hand, and dogs are welcome. The kitchen caters for celiac and other allergies. Customer Review Summary

Haggis dishes lead the praise, especially the haggis burger (also called the McBoudingait burger), which reviewers describe as very tasty with good portions and to die for, while haggis fritters started one diner's meal. Close behind are a roast dinner where everyone emptied their plate, a lemon meringue pie called sublime, and a smooth, cold Guinness. Reviewers repeatedly describe friendly, attentive staff and a warm, lovely atmosphere. One family held an engagement party here and praised the delicious cake, and one reviewer says the kitchen caters well for celiac and other allergies. The main reservation comes from one diner who finds the gastropub label a stretch, calling the food very good quality and reasonable value but typical bar food, with no steak unless ordered in advance. One reviewer suggests booking because the place is so popular and notes there is no dedicated car park, so time is needed to find parking. Dogs are welcomed too, and one couple were greeted with water and a treat for theirs.

“We had my sons engagement do here and I can’t praise the place and staff enough! We had a fantasy evening. Lorna was so attentive and all the staff really looked after us and made everything run so smoothly. The tables were beautifully set out. Food was excellent and the engagement cake they provided was beautiful and delicious. Everyone had a great time and I would highly recommend using them for a private function. Thankyou everyone for making the whole evening really special.”

“So my stay in Cupar has come to the end, this is evening 3/3. And every single one of those evenings I've come to the Boudingait. Instantly felt at home here, the people and the vibe are immaculate. Now we come to the food. The first two evenings I only had drinks, which were very good, but the food is immaculate. I started with the Haggis fritters, then had the McBoudingait burger. Could not fault either one, very tasty and good portion sizes. I wish I stayed longer to go back again. Only reason I've ever left is I had too much of their lovely beer”
