Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips is the draw reviewers raise most, with one diner calling their fish supper "more like a shark supper" because the fish was huge, and another saying the pub never disappoints. Mac and cheese comes close behind, served with garlic bread and a salad. Steak and brisket sandwiches and a burger that one diner's son rated among the best in Scotland also earn praise. Across from the Old Course, the pub is described as inviting, cosy and clean, with warm, friendly staff, golf on the big TVs, gluten free and dairy free options and a kids menu. The complaints centre on value and execution. One diner found a chicken parmigiana overcooked and dry, and a butter chicken came with only five pieces of chicken. Another got a burger they described as frozen, then waited a long time for burgers and chicken tenders while few tables were filled, with drinks never refilled. One cocktail, the Old Fashioned, was called pricey and not great. One server's joke made a table laugh mightily.

“Such a lovely place. Got the mac and cheese, where there was garlic bread and a salad on the site. Simple but in the best way. Fitting well with the cheesy dish for good balance. Had a small beer as well. The best service where the people were so warm and welcoming. Huge recommendation from me!”

“This is such a great location for a drink or meal at St. Andrew’s. It is right at the 18th hole of the Old Course. The atmosphere is Scottish pub style, and inviting. Clean bathrooms and great service. We did make a reservation in advance, which was good because they were turning people away. The food was awesome and they have many Gluten Free and Dairy Free options, in addition to a kids menu. Very reasonable prices and good drinks. The St. Andrew’s Old Fashion was pricey and not great. Other cocktails were fantastic”
