“We ate lunch on Saturday 8 August 26 here. As we'd had a fantastic hunters chicken at the KINGSWAY the week before we thought we'd try it at the riverside. It wasn't half as good 😕 it was dry and overcooked with not nearly as much barbecue sauce as the KINGSWAY. Very disappointed. Good customer service as it wasn't busy. Atmosphere is non existent but at least the screaming/shouting/crying children were no where near us. Really really disappointed.”

“Food was good, but we waited a full 45 minutes from time of ordering to it being served. It wasn't a large order, just two burgers with fries and inn was not busy with enough staff present. If I had not approached the working on shift manager to enquire on my order I believe we most possibly would of been waiting longer. No apology was offered. Despite the food being well cooked and nice, we also felt the portion of food served on plate did not match the price charged and was well overpriced.”

“For such a large and beautiful venue, the food menu is very limited. Balmoral chicken was too dry to swallow - had to send it back and choose something else, which arrived after everyone else in the party had finished. The hunters chicken was also dry, with bones. And the rump steak was very chewy. Staff looked a bit miserable too. Will not be returning.”
