  “I’m honestly very disappointed with order from Enish Croydon. I ordered the croaker fish, which cost close to £40 on ubereat and unfortunately it was nowhere near good. The fish was supposed to be grilled, but it tasted and felt more like fried fish. It also did not taste fresh at all, which is especially concerning when you’re paying almost £40 for a single fish. On top of that, the pepper was far too salty For the price being charged, I expected a fresh, properly grilled croaker with good-quality. What I received was very disappointing and, quite frankly, unacceptable. I hope Enish takes this feedback seriously because the quality of this meal did not justify the price whatsoever.”

  “Good food, large portions, great service and they came moderately early. How ever music was too loud ruining the atmosphere; prices have increased considerably. Those who ordered Chapman complained it was too sweet and could have been balanced with more bitters etc. I particularly feel that it is time for this branch to update their variety to include starch to go with banga; swallow to include oat or corndough; include other soups like black soup, light soup, peanut soup, fisherman soup and seafood okro/vegetable soup.”

  “We visited Enish Croydon to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday, and unfortunately what should have been a special evening turned into a very upsetting experience. While we were in the middle of our meal, we saw a large mouse run across the restaurant floor. This immediately made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe, so we decided to stop eating and pack up our food. We didn’t even feel able to continue the celebration or cut the birthday cake. We raised this with the duty manager at the time, who apologised but mentioned that pest control attends monthly. This did little to reassure us given what we had just witnessed. We were offered 10% off the bill, which felt wholly inadequate considering the situation and how badly the evening had been affected. We were so uneasy that we ended up sitting with our feet off the floor. Following this, we spoke with the operational manager over the phone, whose response was particularly disappointing. Rather than showing understanding, he was dismissive and even questioned whether we had actually seen a mouse at all. This lack of professionalism and empathy made an already bad situation worse. To add to our concerns, the following day my husband became seriously unwell with symptoms of food poisoning, and others in our group have also felt unwell. This is especially disappointing as we have dined at Enish before and previously had positive experiences. However, based on this visit, we cannot recommend it.”

  “I have never tried Nigerian food. But my sister and I decided to try it. I heard enish does good food so we order Eforiro with goat meat, pounded yam and egusi (no swallow). It was soooooo tasty. I didn’t love the egusi but the Eforiro was 10/10. Had it twice now and it was even better the 2nd time. The 2nd time I got Eforiro with fried fish. Some of the items are ridiculously priced… £7 for plantain and £6 for Fanta… daylight robbery. The mains are also expensive. If it were not so expensive I’d give it 5 stars.”

  “Had a lovely time here on Saturday. Came in when it had just opened for lunch. I was greeted by Abas who was so lovely all through my meal. I wasn’t feeling too well and craving strew, rice and plantain and he did a great job to satisfy the craving! The stew was so nice I ordered some to take home. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Abas!”

  “I was hesitant to come because of the reviews, but I tried this cuisine anyway for the first time, and it didn’t disappoint. The staff is lovely—very friendly and accommodating. I love the vibes as well. Highly recommended.”

  “Great place and environment, we made booking for 18 people and small place for such big bookings, in regards to food it was disappointing, chicken was too hard and same with goat, after waiting for 20mins the grilled fish came out cold, we were not offered alternative and my God drinks are such a rip off, £4 for small bottle of Schweppes lemonade, and can't even talk about wine, too expensive for that kind of establishment. The beef, rice and sauce was great, recommend, after many complaints neither the chef nor the manager came to talk to us, poor waitress has to deal with all the complaints, overall I would say disappointing service from the manager and chef.”

  “My dish was okay as I can only base my review on what I ordered and ate on the day. Enjoyed the nkwobi but think for the price you pay, the size portion should change slightly. I found the lamb suya dry and too much pepper. The moi moi could be improved. Still seemed like it was slightly uncooked and not dry in the middle. It needs improvement. My main issue was the lamb suya I ordered as a takeaway after I left with friends and family. Please look at the pictures for yourself. That bowl of suya cost me 10.00 but it looked like a left over takeaway service. Not impressed with the kitchen staff at all for doing this and I think this should be addressed with the kitchen staff . Next time I'll make sure I check my takeaway before leaving. However the front house staff were lovely. Lovely palm wine and enjoy the sex on the beach cocktail. Will go back”
