Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return most often for the parathas and the chai, with the pink Kashmiri chai described as creamy and full of nuts, and the Doodh Patti Chai also praised. Parathas are called huge, freshly made, soft and flaky, and the aloo and cheese versions get specific mentions. Close behind are the chicken tikka roll, the peri peri chicken roll, the tikka rice bowl, chana masala, masala chips and lassi. Opinions on the shami kebab split, with one calling it a close second and another not that tasty. A recurring complaint is a decline in service and quality. Several describe staff as unbothered or rude, one reports being charged extra for a small portion of pickle that was then nearly thrown onto the table, and another found the paratha soggy after a long wait and noticed a weird smell from the kitchen. Two say the parathas were better when the place first opened. Others describe friendly, welcoming staff and a sitting area for about 25 people that can fill up. One reviewer sums up a paratha, omelette, shami kebab and chai combo as freshly cooked and filling.

“I came here with my Nigerian friends to show them my cultural food. Usually this place is good, fast and delicious but over the years I’ve heard from others that it’s gone down hill but I still took a chance to see what it’s like. As soon as we entered the shop we could tell something was off. The man looking unbothered on his phone and a weird smell coming from the kitchen. when we ordered we got quite a rude response from the man when we politely asked a question about the portions, but we still ordered anyways. After ages of waiting for our food, we finally got it but unfortunately had to get takeaway due to the long, unexpected wait, knowing we had somwhere to be. As soon as we got home (mind you the house is very quick so it wouldn’t get soggy), it still did, considering this place specialises in paratha I felt concerned for this business because in all of the years of my life I have never had such an appalling paratha. I felt embarrassed as my friends were extremely disappointed with this meal and I felt as they think my cultural food is bad. What a shame…”

“I’ve been to Paratha Inn many times now and it never disappoints! I usually get the chana masala and honestly, it’s SO yummy definitely the best I’ve had, period. The parathas are huge, freshly made and delicious, and everything always tastes really fresh and full of flavour. The customer service is consistently great too everyone is always friendly and welcoming whenever I go in. I’m definitely a repeat customer and will keep coming back because I value food places that stay consistent. If you’re looking for fresh, tasty food and proper parathas, I highly recommend Paratha Inn. Also a fan of the chicken tikka roll! 😋”

“This place has gone down hill, nothing good anymore Pratthas are really bad cheaply maid compare to when first opened, omelettes are not good either. Staff are unbothered, and don’t care if you ask for your food or how long will take you get rude answers. I used to go regular, however not anymore. Better options available like Lahore Spices in Sutton and more cost effective as well good service. I wish the owners took more accountability and cared how this locations its being run.”

“I used to really like this place. The food has always been consistently good, and earlier the staff were professional and welcoming. However, recently the experience has changed quite a bit. Since the restaurant became more popular, it feels like the owner may have left things to untrained staff. The service quality has dropped noticeably. What was especially disappointing was being charged extra for a very small portion of pickle. For regular customers, something so minor could at least be handled with a bit of courtesy. When we asked about it, instead of a polite response, the staff member rudely placed (almost threw) the pickle on the table. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and takes away from an otherwise good dining experience. Good food alone isn’t enough—customer service and basic respect matter just as much. I hope they address this soon.”

“Found this place while deciding on what to eat tonight, and thought it might be a little twist on a usual Indian or Bangladesh food. Since I love Parathas and Khati rolls I thought I’d give it a try. Boy was I glad I did! What can I say about the food? One word: Amazing I had the Tikka Rice Bowl, the chicken paratha wrap, and samosa. I was excited to try this and it didn’t disappoint. The tikka rice bowl is so full of flavour with a spicy kick too. The paratha wrap also full of flavour and the cucumber was very sweet and fresh. The samosa to me is more like a Pakistani type of samosa, 1 large samosa also very flavour full. This place is not a hit or miss kind of place, all the food is on point, and it’s obvious that the chef knows what they are doing. I thought twice about writing a review as I think if found what I will describe as a “diamond in the rough”, but credit where it’s due… the food here is incredible.”
