  “Walked in, we were not helped or given menus. The guy was kinda rude, kept giving me dirty looks. Did not feel welcome, not sure what I did wrong. I was nice and only asked for a menu. ? My husband ordered the butter chicken, which he enjoyed. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, which is one of their 'house specials.' It was not good. The battered chicken was old, dry and rubbery. It seemed it was reheated chicken from yesterday that had been pulled out of a freezer. The sauce was also meh. Very disappointed by my experience here and will not be going back.”

  “We had such a wonderful experience at the Indian and Chinese restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care. Every dish we tried was excellent, and you can really tell the chef takes great pride in their work. A special thank you to the chef for the amazing food and to the entire team for the outstanding service. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal, making us feel genuinely looked after. I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone staying here or visiting the area. If you enjoy authentic Indian and Chinese cuisine with fantastic service, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you all for your hard work and hospitality. We will definitely be back!”

  “We were served by Rohit who gave us amazing service throughout. The food was great and Akshay at the bar was super friendly and helped with our drinks orders. Overall great experience. And if you enjoy karaoke this was also an added bonus (Sunday night)”

  “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Crown and Pepper and I have to say, the experience was truly outstanding, and that is largely thanks to Rohit and Dev. From the moment we walked in, these two made us feel so welcome and at ease. Their hospitality was absolutely fantastic warm, genuine, and attentive without being overbearing. You could tell they truly care about every guest who walks through the door. The service they provided was top-notch from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. Crown and Pepper should consider themselves very lucky to have people like Rohot and Dev on their team. They are a true asset to the restaurant and are exactly the kind of hospitable, caring individuals that make a Drink & Dining experience truly memorable. Highly recommend visiting , and when you do, you'll be in great hands! 🙌”

  “We've walked past this pub a few times but been a bit unsure as it looks a bit odd from the outside... But it's absolutely wonderful inside. Food was amazing (we had curries) and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. A must try”

  “I was really disappointed with my experience. After seeing so many positive reviews, I had high expectations when I ordered dinner from this restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to them. I ordered chicken noodles, egg fried rice, and chili chicken. The chicken noodles had a decent amount of chicken pieces, which was good, but the noodles themselves were very dry and lacked flavor, making them difficult to enjoy. The chili chicken was probably the best among the three dishes, but even that was not perfect—it had a noticeably sweet taste, which didn’t quite suit my preference for what should typically be a more savory and spicy dish. The egg fried rice was the most disappointing. The rice felt hard and undercooked, with no real taste or seasoning. It also didn’t seem fresh, which made it even less appealing. Overall, the meal did not meet expectations, especially considering the good reviews I had read beforehand.”

  “Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. They do a great mix of Chinese and indian dishes, the Salt and Pepper Prawns were banging. Mutton Rolls, Biryani and Chops also great dishes. Great vibe and they also show the footy which is a major plus.”

  “Lovely waiters and generally very good service. Food is packed with flavour..they win 10/10 for Indo Chinese flavours also. If you want a spice and chilli..this is the right place! We all enjoyed our food. Thank you Crown and Pepper 🌶 🌶🌶🌶”

  “Crown and Pepper Croydon. Cheap and cheerful and cheaper than the farringdon branch. Croydon is cheaper due to the location and has more Chinese options. However the Chinese food which was super salty and spicy. Overall the Indian choices are probably better. At both places when you ask for the wifi password, they have to enter it for you!!”

  “2nd time been here it’s a very welcoming and the atmosphere is great. I’m from the midland so like my Desi food and this was the right and perfect choice in Croydon. I met with the owners who were very welcoming even brought me a drink. The staff especially Rohit was very welcoming recognised me every time and come to greet me. He assists with what to order on the food menu and the food is always first class. Thank you Rohit see you next week.”
