  “Unfortunately since Cornelia and her family turned over the running of the cafe to new management it has seriously declined & there is a serious lack of attention to detail. Our order was only two breakfasts and one hot drink, but they still managed to forget to make the coffee & served us hash browns that were still frozen in the middle. The beautiful homemade bread has been replaced with generic sourdough, which was burned around the edges, the bacon was also burned. Finally, both the chef’s toast and the special toast only came with one egg, even though in the past it was served with two, and the menu even stated eggs plural. Papp’s has been our favourite breakfast cafe for years and this is the first time we’ve ever left disappointed, it’s a real shame.”

  “Where do I start!! Very slow service. Wrong food orders going out. Under cooked food being served. Tables not cleared. Awful coffee!! The original owners & staff appear to have left the business. The new team that have taken over clearly have no hospitality experience. I would be surprised if there was a food hygiene certificate between them. This place would now make a great episode of Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares!! Its a real shame,as this place used to be amazing.”

  “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic café! The food at Papp’s Cafe is genuinely excellent — homemade, freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Everything we’ve had has tasted amazing and you can tell that real care goes into the food. The café is spotlessly clean, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find places serving proper, freshly cooked homemade food at sensible prices, but Papp’s gets it absolutely right. Great food, great service, great value and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back! Phil & Jacky”

  “Our favorite local cafe to go to. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Food is phenomenal, from their vegetarian breakfasts to their awesome omelettes. My husband's favourite😍 Great tasting coffee, lattes, americanos, and they serve decaf coffee. Fantastic homemade cakes and cookies. What more could you ask for on your doorstep.”

  “A great little cafe, fresh food made to order. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming been going here for a while now and the staff are friendly and the cook is amazing just like grandma/papa would make. I portions are the right size and the price is very good, as everything is made to order don't expect it straight on the table do give sone time for it to be made, it is worth the wait.”

  “this place is AMAZING. i couldn’t reccomend it enough. not only is the food amazing but the staff working there are so welcoming and kind, the service is top tier and so friendly. the quality of everything is the best. for the breakfast the bread is HOMEMADE, the meat quality and taste is superb and everything is delicious. the burger bun is brioche which balances out the soft meat making it sweet and savoury. its creamy, MASSIVE and the chips it comes with are obviously homemade. the food is cooked with love and care and attention to detail which most places lack. it’s family owned and a beautiful shop in general with books on bookshelves you can read, there’s plenty of seating and the overall atmosphere with all of the decorations give it a homely and peaceful vibe. i can definitely say this will be our go to place to eat out. thank you papp’a cafe!”
