About The Castle Grounds
The Castle Grounds is a large pub in Coventry city centre, on Little Park St near the Council House, with a pale wood interior. Bottomless brunch is on offer, and a DJ night adds music after dark. The bar pours cask ale, including Timothy Taylor Landlord, and cocktails sit alongside a varied food menu. Big screens show Sky Sports, so football and major matches are a regular draw, and door staff are on duty. Dogs are welcome inside.

Customer Review Summary
Match days on the big Sky Sports screens draw the most mentions, with reviewers describing a fantastic atmosphere for games such as Spain v Argentina and Coventry v Wrexham, and a stag group saying the staff went above and beyond. Friendly, welcoming staff come up close behind, from the bar team to the door staff. Food earns praise too, including smothered chicken with chips and peas called good value, a new menu described as the best pub food in a long time with speedy waits, and a bottomless brunch where the drinks kept coming and the cocktails stood out. A Saturday DJ is credited with winning over different age groups. The one complaint is the heat: a reviewer reports no air conditioning and poor ventilation, with powerful subwoofers shaking the floor. Others mention outdoor seating, dogs being welcome, and an excellent pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord.

“Had such a lovely bottomless brunch! The food was great, the drinks didn't stop coming, and the atmosphere was relaxed A huge shout-out to Dan, who made some of the best cocktails we've had. He was so friendly and made the whole experience better. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for a brilliant afternoon! 🥂🍸”

“Been a few times to the castle grounds, great on big game occasions such as the spain v argentina game. And i saw a terrible review that said about people standing. Well, its a pub not a church, the atmosphere was fantastic, food great as always. I think posting a rubbish review for no good reason is utterly unfair on the venue. Also saturday nights are my favourite. The DJ you have, my word. He really knows his stuff. He was adaptable to different age groups which is always a tough one. (I work in the industry) but thoroughly enjoy the music. Havent had the pleasure of a bottomless brunch yet, but ive never met one i didnt love. Thanks again keep up the fab work and sorry that people post unwarranted negativity where its clearly not needed.”

“Always a great atmosphere, especially when the football is on. The staff and manager are consistently friendly and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. The door staff are lovely too, always friendly and welcoming while doing a great job of keeping everyone safe and making sure people have a good night. Highly recommend!”
