Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the eggs Florentine, with wilted spinach on a muffin under poached eggs, and close behind are the avocado toast with poached eggs, beef quesadillas, spicy gnocchi and wild mushrooms, all described as tasty and fresh. A vegan reviewer called their breakfast the best in eight years, and several mention coffee that was good or flavoursome, though one found the cups small. Friendly, quick service and a laid-back atmosphere across multiple floors come up repeatedly, as does a welcome for dogs, though one reviewer found the first floor echoey. The main complaints concern kitchen execution. One visit brought burnt bacon, cold toast and a long wait for breakfast, with only an indifferent "sorry" in response. Another reviewer's sweet potato dish was mostly burnt, and they felt it should have been remade or compensated. The French toast was called gelatinous once it cooled. One reviewer found the wall seats on high chairs hard to relax in, and the burnt sweet potato dish was left unreplaced.

“I’ve come here many times before, and my last experience wasn’t that great - but I thought I’d give it another chance. Mistake. Whilst I can appreciate it may have been busy today, there were still empty tables, so nearly 40 minutes wait for breakfast wasn’t really a great start, especially as this wasn’t mentioned when arriving. Then the food arrived burnt, and inedible. I’ve attached a photo of the bacon, as I was pretty surprised that someone put that on a plate and thought it was “okay”. I only ate the toast (which was stone cold) as I was hungry. I really didn’t want to complain online so mentioned all this to a member of staff, but was met with an indifferent “sorry”, and nothing further was done.”

“Went for brunch, great selection of food, which tasted great, coffee was good too. They also had a kids menu for children. Service was fast and friendly”

“Woodkraft has been our favourite place for brunch, lunch and usually they are top notch. However this time I ordered the sweet potato dish and sadly the main component of the dish was super burned and could not have eaten most of it. I felt that the staff also knew and she apologised in the end but I felt that the dish could have been remade or we could have been given some compensation. Also the seats next to the wall on high chair is quite difficult to relax as well. I had many great memories in woodkraft and I am sure it was a one off moment but I couldnt have given 5 stars.”

“When visiting Cheltenham we popped in for lunch and I'm so glad we did. Service was really good, friendly and professional. The environment had a chilled vibe and the restaurant is spread over a couple of floors. We ordered the beef quesadillas and spicy gnocchi. Brilliant. Both really flavourful and freshly prepared. Prices were perfectly reasonable given the quality of the food and the portion sizing. We'll definitely be back.”
