  “We asked Hellen, manager of the Globe in Chelmsford, if she could host our engagement party in September at the pub and it could not have been better! She was so relaxed and flexible with up to 100 people invited, enormous buffet spread and allowing decorations up throughout the pub - only charging us for the buffet, which again was absolutely delicious and super exceeded our expectations! She allowed us to have our own playlist on and even had a band in the evening organised which got everyone dancing. The whole team were amazing, checking in on us with the food, volume of music and kept the drinks flowing all night. We couldn’t have had a better day, thank you so much 😁”

  “Had a party on Saturday Saturday 26th September. Wonderful party food never been to a pub and had food like. Thank you Amelia, and chefs Aaron, Hellen, and Vickey. For making our very large group 50+ sick an enjoyable night. Throughly recommend The Globe. Will be coming gay”

  “The Globe hosted an Engagement party for our family in September 2026. The food was Exceptional . We paid £10 a head and there was so much of it , it tasted and was presented to the highest standard. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Waitressing staff were helpful ,diligent and conscientious quietly clearing finished glasses and plates. There just happened to be a live band playing in the evening booked by the Globe previously ..who were wonderful and created a great vibrant atmosphere. The whole evening was made stress free for the family with all guests commenting on how amazing the amount and quality of the food was !! They all worked so hard to make our event a complete success. I would recommend using the Globe for a private gathering and to take family and friends to.👍😍🤩 Parking in other side roads after 6pm was useful and other guests stayed at the County Hotel , just a 5 mins walk away.   “We had the burger and nachos, and both were absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, tasty, and full of flavour. The customer service was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We had a great experience and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!”
