  “This place has really upped its game from when I last visited a few years back, we all had a great time in a great atmosphere and the food was really superb value and very tasty. We will def be going back again which is great as they’re only down the road for us. Service was very good, we were greeted on arrival by a lovely young lady and young man, both gave us a warm welcome and directed us to our table. We ordered at the bar which was straight forward and carried our drinks to the table. The food arrived within 10 minutes, all piping hot, all very tasty and all very good value. We spent £88 for 5 of us and we only had mains, and 1 drink each, I thought this was extremely reasonable. We were served by Daine and Stacy I think they were called and our chefs weee James and Simon. All staff we spoke to were very polite and professional and as I say, we will definitely be back, thanks to all at Baddow Barn.”

  “Fabulous big barn conversion plus plenty of outside space. Food offers are good value. Our usual servers, Evie and Dane, always make us feel particularly welcome and even the chef, James, says hello when he's not slaving over a hot stove.”

  “Always great to come with the little one, the soft play is a winner and food is good. we were served by Evie and Ollie, who were great as always, super attentive and sorted any queries we had promptly and professionally. The chefs James and Ethan done a great job at getting our food out quick and hot.. we will always come back.”

  “A lovely pub that’s perfect for families. From the moment you arrive, you notice the welcoming, calm and very clean atmosphere, ideal if you’re looking to relax away from the usual hustle and bustle. It’s especially great to see that children are genuinely welcome, with tables fitted with screens to keep them entertained. There’s also a pleasant indoor courtyard with a terrace, giving little ones space to enjoy themselves while adults can unwind. It’s a thoughtful touch that really sets the place apart and makes it a great option for a family outing. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of food and drinks to suit all tastes. I visited on a Saturday at around 5 pm, and it was nice and quietly relaxed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One area for improvement would be the table ordering system via QR code, as it didn’t work during our visit. That said, it’s still a highly recommended spot if you’re after a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with a pleasant vibe.”

  “We had a really great experience at The Great Baddow Barn. Elsie and Daine at The Great Baddow Barn provided excellent service to myself and my family throughout our time here. From the moment I booked a table, to the minute we left the restaurant, they both were accommodating, friendly and efficient when serving us. Nothing was ever too much, and they made sure our kids were catered for too. Thank you for everything this evening. We had a great meal this evening for my son’s birthday. The chefs food was good too. I forgot their names but it was the head chef and another gentleman. I think one of their names was Sammy, but I can’t remember the other name, however both provided lovely food, and the speed that they got the food out to our whole party of 15 was impressive. Thank you both too. Overall great experience from start to finish, and we will be back.”

  “Lovely atmosphere and a great place to take kids. The play area is a big plus, the food is good, and prices are very reasonable. My teenage daughter often goes with her friends for dinner and always feels safe and enjoys the food. It’s also great for going out for a drink and food with a partner — the bar is separate from the dining area and has a really cosy feel. A welcoming spot for both families and couples.”

  “Free parking, order via the app, very reasonably priced food. Service was relatively quick. Unfortunately the food we had (chicken fajitas & a double cheeseburger) were average at best. Not sure I’d want to revisit.”
