About Bridge End Inn
Bridge End Inn is a pub in Carlisle, on Dalston, with a separate restaurant area and a bar for anyone who wants just a drink. Waiting staff provide table service. Lamb rump is among the dishes served, and Sunday lunch is part of the offer. Dogs are welcome, so regulars can bring their own along.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the lamb rump, called superb and filling by one diner and some of the best lamb another has had. Close behind are the Sunday lunches, a chef's special of monkfish tail wrapped in Parma ham with lemon risotto, and the chicken skewers and chicken burger. The ploughman's is described as very substantial with a good selection of cheeses. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and efficient, and meals are described as freshly cooked to order. Several mention booking because the pub gets busy. The complaints are fewer. One diner found the Sunday roast beef too tough to cut, was told the plate would not be charged, then was charged for both meals at the till and told that these things happen. Another found the Thai green curry a little lacking in flavour. One reviewer says to ask for the cheese sauce, which is not on the menu. One couple with no phone signal were let use the pub's landline.

“My husband and I visited this establishment this weekend. Our first and last visits! It is my husbands' birthday this weekend and we booked a table for Sunday lunch but also called in for a drink on Saturday afternoon. We were with a group of friends. My glass was very dirty On Sunday we came for lunch. I had a glass of wine and, sadly, once again, my glass was dirty. I pointed this out to our waitress who took my glass and returned it. Then my dinner came, I had chosen roast beef. I simply could not cut the beef. I gave my husband my second slice but he didn't manage either. I finally managed to taste the meat and it was tough to the point of being inedible. Our waitress took my plate. She returned and said we would not be charged for it. By this time I was upset and embarrased so decided not to have a sweet and go home. When we went to pay, the young man on the till charged us for both meals and when we explained my meat was tough he simply said "these things happen". I would have liked to point out to him that so do birthdays that go to this establishment in order to celebrate them! How sad, our first meal will very definitely be our last and our first Saturday afternoon "down the pub" will also be our last. We both left this establishment feeling upset and very embarrassed through absolutely no fault of our own.”

“Food was awesome, 10/10 no complaints at all. The staff were all super attentive and friendly. The young lady on the front bar/serving was a really credit to the team and couldn’t do enough for us. Thanks again!”

“Can't fault this place. We live in the North East, North Tyneside but have travelled to this wonderful place on a number of occasions for it's wonderful Sunday lunches and meals in general. Book up in advance though. It's very popular.”
