Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the service, with several describing friendly, attentive staff, one waitress who brought a cushion for a reviewer's bad back, and another who kept a busy Saturday table updated through kitchen hiccups. Food draws steady praise too: dumplings, sweet potato fries, BBQ burgers and Biscoff pancakes, though one notes the pancake portion is quite large, and a starter and burger are called very good while the dessert was merely decent. Close behind, tight spacing is a recurring complaint. Reviewers mention tables too close together, one sat in the main walkway with staff pushing past, and another wanting slightly bigger tables. The service picture is not uniform. One reviewer on cocktail week found the pistachio colada genuinely nice but waited about 15 minutes to order and again after finishing, and was unhappy with a 12.5% service charge. Another received undrinkable mojitos on a 2 for 1 night, and the manager removed them from the bill. One reviewer was asked about allergies five times.

“Had a lovely family meal here on a busy Saturday evening. Despite a couple of kitchen hiccups, our waitress Eva was smiley, attentive and made sure to keep us updated throughout. The manager told us she was new and she is absolutely worth her weight in gold Delicious food, excellent service 5⭐️”

“We live across the road from Bills so always meant to try it. Cocktail week came around and we had such a good time last year we gave it a try again this year. When we entered the host stand was visible so we stood around and waited, the team were really busy so we didn’t mind. One team member did just walk passed us, I asked if we should seat ourselves but he just walked on by. The host was lovely, bubbly and full of life. She sat us and said that someone would be over t take our drinks order. The man that came over was so deflated, I get that it was busy but it’s a hospitality job. Not many words exchanged but after around 15 minutes we managed to order the cocktail week cocktails. They arrived and they were genuinely nice (pistachio colada if you’re wondering). This tells me the brand is doing everything it can in regards to product but the service was terrible from here. The same lady that sat us came to bring our drinks, same energy, a genuine interest in why we were there! (I didn’t expect her to care but she did and it was lovely). We wanted a few drinks off the menu because they looked nice and they were 241. We finished our drinks and for about 15/20 minutes…nothing. We saw tables getting up and asking the waiter for things, only 4 tables outside though. We had enough and asked for the bill. The guy came over said “£10” I tapped my card and nothing. No “thank you” no “have a nice day” The final nail in the coffin was the fact he gave himself a service charge. Although the receipt said a “12.5% charge will be added” maths wasn’t his strong point because he charged us £11.25. Little win I guess. It’s not a lot but considering we had zero service it’s terrible. It’s a stones throw from our house and we won’t return based on this visit.”

“Went for 2 for 1 cocktails today. We were served the 2 worst mojitos ever. Undrinkable and shouldnt have been served as clearly didnt have the correct ingredients. The manager dealt with it professionally and removed them from the bill. Cosy Club cocktails next door were good and real ones.”

“We visited on 21st July, and I felt compelled to leave a review because the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Unfortunately, I’m currently struggling with a back injury, which has made sitting for long periods quite uncomfortable. Our waitress, Catarina, couldn’t have been more caring and attentive. Without hesitation, she brought me a cushion to support my back, which made such a difference. Throughout our meal, she regularly came back to check that I was comfortable and to make sure everything was okay. It wasn’t overbearing—it was genuine, thoughtful customer service that made us feel truly looked after. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. You can tell that a lot of care and attention goes into every plate that leaves the kitchen. I’m someone who eats out regularly and enjoys trying different restaurants, so I have experienced a wide range of customer service over the years. I can honestly say it has been a long time since I’ve visited a restaurant where the level of service has been this high. Catarina is a real credit to the restaurant, and her kindness and professionalism genuinely enhanced our evening. Fantastic food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would 100% return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Thank you to Catarina and the whole team for making our visit so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back.”

“Warm welcome and seated quickly. First course served quickly unfortunately some of the chilli oil from the starter was dropped on my handbag as it was in a ridiculously shaped mini bowl. Starts delicious though!!! Mains took a while. Meanwhile we realised the table we were sat at was right in the main walk way and staff were constantly pushing passed around us. Mains tasted great and portions just right. Served in paper layers which disintegrated ! Apart from that friendly service. Reasonably varied menu. Would return.”
