Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly staff, with several describing a barista who patiently explained coffee and one who brought a drink downstairs to the table. The coffee itself draws the most praise, including a mellow Brazilian roast, a strong flat white with good latte art, an iced latte with guest roast and a house espresso. Close behind are the lemon cake, apple loaf described as tasty and not too sweet, and a Banana, Mango & Blueberry smoothie. Reviewers also like the layout, the sofas and chairs, the downstairs seating, plenty of tables for studying and laptop work, and an indie magazine to read. The caveats concern consistency. One reviewer found the coffee too weak, another says the espresso is always off because the machine is not dialled in, and one found the white chocolate and Biscoff cookie dry and hard to cut. Music gets mixed comments: one says it was a bit loud downstairs, while another found it perfectly levelled for conversation. One reviewer returned the next day, and another had already visited the Bristol branch.

“Lovely spot ☕️! Best coffee I’ve had in the UK so far, has a very nice ambiance, super friendly and helpful people (shoutout to Peter!), and great tunes. + they also have a cool indie mag you can read - super interesting, highly recommended!”

“First time visiting this cafe , it was amazing to find a shop with speciality coffee ☕️ I had iced latte with guest roast and it was actually really good! Recommended by the staff 🫶🏻 I also had white chocolate and Biscoff cookie, it was really good but a little dry and hard to cut. Overall, good experience ❤️”

“Went in for the first time today, Barista who served was a suuuper nice guy so friendly! Had a great flair for the performance and patience for educating me about making coffee. Been curious about expanding my palate and trying medium roasts but have zero equipment at home. I found the Brazilian roast here very mellow, a pleasant lingering depth of flavour, none of the bitterness I usually associate with coffee. Lovely staff, great location, will return!”
