Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the coffee, praised as excellent and exceptional, with a flat white called decent and a cup of tea mentioned once. Close behind come the friendly, welcoming staff and a relaxed, cozy atmosphere, including a sitting room feel at the back with a fireplace. Pastries, cakes, a chocolate brownie and a plant-based hoisin duck wrap also earn mentions, and several describe the prices as reasonable. The recurring caveat is inconsistency in service and atmosphere. One reviewer found the coffee poorly made on a late afternoon visit, with staff chatting more than serving, after an earlier visit that was excellent. Another noted a somewhat hostile feel to the customer service. One found the café noisy, with loud music, weak latte art, untidy tables and a neglected bathroom, and another wanted more space between the smaller tables. Others note it gets busy and is popular with students using the free WiFi. One reviewer describes a staff member handling a card problem in an unexpectedly kind way.

“Had a flat white here that was decent. The venue is cozy and welcoming and the staff is friendly. It has lots of seating so it can get busy. It looks like a great place to work at. Friendly staff.”

“Unfortunately, my visit left me feeling a little disappointed. The café is quite noisy - both in terms of the general atmosphere and the music volume, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the experience. The coffee itself was genuinely good, but the latte art needs some work - it didn't quite match the standard I'd expect from a specialty café. The cleanliness was also a concern - the tables weren't particularly well maintained, and the bathroom was quite neglected, which is something I'd hope to see improved. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the coffee quality shows real potential. Overall, I expected a little more from this place. With some improvements to the noise level, presentation and cleanliness, it could be a great spot. I may give it another chance in the future.”

“Amazing experience. Staff here were incredible they made us feel relaxed and very welcome. The Coffee was incredible too in my honest opinion. The hot chocolate looked delicious and the cakes looked great also. I honestly can fault anything here not that I'd want to as it was so good the decor had a calming relaxing feel. So in conclusion this is a definite visit if you want exceptional coffee in a friendly atmosphere that won't break the bank. I personally will go here again.”
