Quick info
About Bru Coffee and more
Bru Coffee and more is a coffee shop at 105-107 Queen St in central Cardiff, built around coffee from speciality Arabica beans. The brunch menu runs alongside the drinks, with toast dishes topped with different fillings, the Indian Brunch and shakshuka among the options. A wider choice of other drinks sits next to the coffee. For dessert, the Bara Brith Gelato is made for Bru and sold only there, so it gives a visit something that cannot be picked up elsewhere. Dogs are welcome, which suits anyone bringing a pet along.

Customer Review Summary
Brunch is the main draw at Bru, and reviewers most often point to the toasts and shakshuka. One reviewer praises the truffle chicken toast as fragrant and cheesy, while a family of four orders three shakshukas with chicken sausage and feta and also singles out the focaccia. Others name the French toast and the Indian Brunch as delicious, and one recommends the Korean BBQ burger. Close behind is the drinks list, where the coconut latte is called the best one reviewer has had and the Spanish Rose Matcha prompted a second order. Coffee quality gets its own mention from a self-described coffee fanatic. Service comes up repeatedly as friendly and quick, with food arriving fast and staff described as lovely with children. Several reviewers cite good value and generous portions for a central location. No recurring complaints appear. Visitors from out of town describe returning for brunch on consecutive mornings, and one says the chef stopped by tables to ask whether the meals had been enjoyed.

“We had a really tasty breakfast and tried three different toast options. All were cheesy with plenty of filling, especially the truffle chicken — super fragrant and delicious. The coffee is also worth trying.”

“We were visiting Cardiff for the first time and went to Bru for brunch... such a find! Lovely staff, cafe culture ambiance and great coffee. We ordered the Indian Brunch which was absolutely delicious. Chef Maz stopped by to see whether we had enjoyed our meals... and we were happy to report it was top-notch! Well worth a visit, we will be back!”

“BRU is a fantastic café/restaurant. I visited with a family of six and there was no wait for a table, which was a great start. The food arrived very quickly, within 5–10 minutes, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and efficient throughout our visit. The food was amazing, full of flavour, and served at the perfect temperature. There was also a great variety of drink options to choose from. The atmosphere makes it an ideal place for meetings, catching up with family, spending time with friends, or even stopping by after work. Overall, I would highly recommend BRU for its excellent food, quick service, and friendly staff.”
