  “Great little place on the far side of town. Has a good selection of beer and it at a good price compared to the rest of town. Been here a few times and the beer garden is a brilliant sun trap. Food here is good I had a cheese burger and it was decent and great value. Will be going here again as it a pleasant venue witha lovely interior.”

  “Pleasant place located not far from the main town. Nice atmosphere, excellent service and loads of outside and inside seating. Good selection of drinks and good staff. Will come back again when im up that way.”

  “Love atmosphere great staff, we did wait for over an hour for our food, they had clearly forgot about us and then when we asked the waitress they had sold out of pizza bases and pretty much everything else on the menu. Was not happy but the pub itself has a great friendly vibe (in need for alittle modernisation) and the staff were great”

  “I've lived in Cardiff for a long time, tried a lot of places to get a burger. This pub is hands down the best value for money burger meal deal I've had in the city (£9.50 on Thursdays, as of writting). Proper british pub burger, proper chips. None of that smashed nonsense. Puts into perspective how shameful McDonalds and Burger King prices are these days.”

  “We called in here today for lunch, for the first time. I ordered one chicken curry meal and one vegan 3 bean chilli. After about 15 minutes the meals were delivered to our table. I took a fork full of the bean chilli and when I put it in my mouth it was cold! Not even warm! The rice was also luke warm. I took the plate of food back to the bar and explained that the food was stone cold. The bar man was very appologetic and said he would get it sorted. A few minutes later he brought me my plate back, still with my used knife and fork on it; the chilli had obviously just been microwaved then spooned back into the same metal serving dish, as there were spashes all up the sides. It was definitely hotter, but when I tried the next fork full, I picked up a golf-ball size of solid chilli which consisted of a clump of dry, powdery chilli beans which had just dried in to a solid mass. I immediately took the plate back to the bar, said the meal was inedible and asked for a refund. The guy was once again apologetic and refunded me the cost of the meal. My husband's chicken curry was delivered hot, but once again his rice was luke warm. I have to say my meal was absolutely disgusting. I don't know how they are allowed to serve luke warm meals to the public...surely there are health and safety laws regarding food temperatures which have to be adhered to! I'd never eat here again. If I could have given them a zero, I would have!”

  “My wife and I visited here for a bite to eat before going to the theatre. Nice clean looking pub with a simple layout. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Ordered at the bar, with a table number and 2 main meals and a coke and a medium red wine was £24 in total, which we thought was a good price in this day and age. The food came within about 10 mins and was very good, the wife had lasagne which she complimented. All in all a good experience, music a bit loud for normal conversations but will revisit as we another theatre trip in a few weeks time.”

  “Went to this pub not long ago and we had food it was absolutely terrible we was waiting for about 2hours for our food to come. After it finally came the waiter was bringing it to us they dropped our chips on the floor and to be fair they did offer us new chips but we didn’t want them I went with my auntie and sister and my aunties food looked like literal sick I will try and upload a photo if I can I had chicken strips and they were rock solid it also looked like the food had been under a heat lamp for ages.All I can say is I wouldn’t recommend this place. It would be a good atmosphere if you’re going for just drinks But I wouldn’t go there for food they did refund us but again it wasn’t full price. The photo below is what they brought out to my auntie they even turned the pastry over because it was black.”

  “Went there for drinks and to grab a bite. Service was amazing, everyone was super nice. Good selection of tap beers, and tasty burgers. The place is very clean as well. There is a pool table, and the outdoor terrace is definitely a plus. I recommend, and I'll be back.”

  “Like someone said before it has a proper London vibe. Small venue so outside of the venue is the spot. Had live music great happy hour deals and overall a nice ambiance. Definitely a good recommend”
