About yori bbq cambridge
Yori BBQ Cambridge is a Korean barbecue restaurant in Cambridge, on Green St, where diners cook their own meat on a grill at the table. The ribeye steak is brought out uncut, so each table cuts it to size before grilling. Beef bulgogi is also on the grill list. The team talks guests through the menu and how the BBQ works, including the separate cutlery for raw and cooked meat. Korean fried chicken, including a soy garlic version, comes as a ready-to-eat side for anyone who wants a dish that skips the grill. Lettuce and salad leaves for wrapping the grilled meat are ordered separately. The restaurant is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Korean fried chicken, especially the soy garlic version, is what reviewers call unbelievable and incredible. Close behind are the cook-it-yourself meats, with ribeye, king prawns, beef brisket and well-marinated seasoned cuts singled out, and kimchi jeon on the side. Many describe huge portions, and several say the manager or a server talked them through the menu and which cutlery to use for raw and cooked meat. Cost is the most repeated complaint: reviewers call it pricey, object to the service charge, and question paying for lettuce and sides, with one finding the leaves too few for the meat. One diner found the galbi and bulgogi tasted old and over-marinated, and had to keep calling the waiter about a forgotten item. Others mention a booking missing from the system and reheated or undercooked rice that was swapped for a fresh bowl. One reviewer describes a soiled seat in the single unisex toilet. One suggests allowing extra time, since cooking can run long. A server who brought a takeaway portion of a loved side dish closes one review.

“We ate here for the first time and were served by Jack. I cannot fault one thing, Jack helped guide us through the menu and even gave us tips on operating the BBQ. Everything we ordered was delicious! Especially the Beef Brisket. Definitely coming back soon”

“As a tourist trying Korean BBQ for the first time, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Despite the language barrier, the staff was incredibly helpful, patient, and attentive throughout our meal. The sauces and seasonings were packed with flavor, and the kpop music made the atmosphere even better. Highly recommended!!!”

“I went to this place in hopes to have a good self korean bbq place but it was pretty disappointing. The tteokbokki was fairly decent but there was a few thing not available due to them redoing their menu. The fish cake in the tebbokki was horrible The galbi ribs and the beef bulgogi tasted like old meat and over marinated. The flavor was not from the marinated sauce. The pork belly was good and good seasoning They forgot to bring out 1 of our items and tried to still charge but we're nice enough to remove it. Is was not busy but we kept having to call the waiter over and over to get things we ordered because he kept forgetting. The ribeye was good but a bummer they don't bring it out cut. The kimichi was okay not too bad. But pretty crazy to be charged to get Lettuce and sides and pretty pricey location. Can't call a restaurant authentic when it is not really.”

“We visited Yori BBQ in Cambridge for Mother’s Day lunch and had such a fantastic experience. The food was incredible - really generous portions and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great and the service was outstanding. A special shout-out to Rio, our server, who was amazing. It was also my mum’s birthday and he very kindly brought us complimentary prosecco, which was such a lovely touch. When we mentioned how much we loved one of the side dishes, he even brought us a takeaway portion to enjoy later - truly going above and beyond. 10/10 for food, atmosphere, and service. We’d highly recommend Yori BBQ and can’t wait to come back!”

“Food was good (look at the sizzle on the video 😍), a bit pricy but not too bad when shared between friends. The seasoned meats were really well marinated too! 😋 Service was good as they corrected any mistakes they made but they should invest in a new booking system. We booked for the right restaurant for the right time and day but it didnt appear on the system and I was made to think the mistake was on our end until my friend who made the booking sent the screenshot of the confirmation so I could prove our innocence and luckily get a table because someone else didn't show up for theirs. 😬 Knocked off a point on atmosphere because they had 1 unisex toilet and I went in after a guy came out who had peed all over the seat and I was left to clean it up un order to use the loo. I know it's the fault of the other customer but it left me kinda grossed out 😭🤢”
