  “Absolutely wonderful. Finding a proper chippy that does big fat chips with the kids ight amount of salt and vinegar with the crispies in the bottom, is not easy. Not to mention for £4.50 you get a gigantic parcel big enough to feed a family of four in the old skool paper sheets. Wow. Considering nowadays you pay £5.50 for a 'large' which comes in a tiny box which just about satisfies two small children. It's our first time at Barracudas and certainly not the last. Service was fast and they were seen cleaning inside the shop. Please stay as you are and don't change. If you don't stop off at Barracudas, you need to give your head a wobble!!”

  “It's ok, 7 minutes wate was nearer 15 and the fish was slightly over cooked, but excellent chips, and it is possible to eat in. Good value. Looks very clean and well run.”

  “Lovely service, always been super friendly. I wanted just tomatoes and cucumbers they were more than happy to service it to me with my weird pregnancy cravings 🤣, visited multiple times and they have wonderful chips never to mushy or to crispy. Would recommend for anyone who visiting Cambridge, or lives in the area!!”

  “I told the owner my view and he asked that I share. The fish and chips here are reviewed as large portions and about the best in Cambridge. I turned up on my own last night too test the theory as I was staying locally and have to agree. I'm a big eater but the large cod and medium chips were plenty, and I stupidly forgot to test the curry sauce. Having explained that I went due to reviews, the owner gave me a free sample of his coated potatoes from a pile in the hot cabinet. The slightly spicy potatoes were incredible, just flavoured enough to be divine without putting people off. The secret sauce wasn't divulged!! The chips were hot, fluffy inside, just crisp enough on the outside and a good size piece of potato. Cod was full of flavour, crispy and really really hot . Big thumbs up from me, not expensive for what you get and a steady stream of people even just after 5pm Thank you!”

  “Had the fish and chips. Fish was fantastic: moist inside, delicious crispy batter outside. Chips were unfortunately not crispy and could do with more time in the fryer. Overall, a good deal for £15 (with a soft drink). Note that this place is cash only.”

  “Went there for fish and chips. Pleasantly surprised by their friendly customer service. Very delicious doner, spicy potatoes and battered cod fish. The place is also bright and clean. There’s temporary off street parking while you wait for your food order.”

  “Friendly service and piping hot chips that I didn’t have to wait for to be cooked (unlike the other chippy round the corner, virtually every time you go in… ) Bought a half portion which was more than enough for my large appetite and they were tasty. I’m now a convert!!!”

  “This place is amazing! I used to go to the other chippy (codfather) because it’s closer to mine and I don’t drive. But the extra walk is 100% worth it! The portion size are amazing and not crazy greasy… here is a photo of a large cod, honestly next time I’ll get a medium!”
