Quick info
About Mill Mediterranean Coffee Spot
On Mill Rd in Cambridge, Mill Mediterranean Coffee Spot is a Greek bakery-café at number 32 that bakes its pastries on site. The counter holds bougatsa, spanakopita, the spinach and feta pie, and portokalopita, the orange cake. Sweet and savoury pastries sit alongside them, and some of the traditional bakes are vegan or gluten-free. Coffee follows the Greek approach, with freddo coffees on the menu and Greek coffee served in the cup. Shelves of Greek groceries, including cheeses, sausages and drinks, mean a visit can end with ingredients to cook at home as well as something from the oven. Dogs are welcome, so a walk along the street can end with a coffee and a pastry for the owner.

What reviewers say
Reviewers most often mention spanakopita, freddo cappuccino, orange cake and back garden.
Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the Greek pastries, with spanakopita the item named most, described as flaky, filling and packed with spinach and feta. Close behind is the freddo cappuccino, with the freddo espresso and Greek coffee also praised. Orange cake (portokalopita) is called outstanding and very sweet and syrupy, and others single out the tahini bun, cheese and cream bougatsa, baklava, red velvet cake and koulouri. Several mention the back garden on a sunny day, and a few say it feels like a slice of Greece, helped by Greek cheeses, sausages and drinks sold alongside vegan and gluten free options. Staff and owners are mostly called friendly, though one reviewer found the woman at the counter not friendly at all despite loving the red velvet cake. One diner found the peinirli dough sweeter than expected, and another wished pastries could be reheated on request. Reviewers often end on the same detail: pastries arriving hot from the oven at the table.

“This is the best most greek cafe i have ever been in the UK. The stuff is phenomenal, the food traditional and perfect, the coffee and especially the freddo espresso is 10/10 AND they also sell greek products such as cheeses, greek sausages, drinks and so many more stuff! Love that it also has some traditional food which are vegan and gluten free making them a place perfect for any friend group to walk in and enjoy. The cherry on top, the back garden which on a sunny day teleports you straight to Greece! Honestly have nothing but praises to give!”

“A small and cosy Greek café. Excellent coffee and a great selection of homemade snacks, both sweet and savoury, something for everyone. The fluffy orange cake was absolutely outstanding, and the baklava was delicious too!”

“One of the best redvelvet cake, hands down no doubt. But learn some basic hospitality etiquette. The lady at the counter was not friendly at all.”

“Authentic Greek experience with produce from Greece. We had the cheese and cream bougatsa plus freddo cappuccino and it felt like a taste of Greece. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and have created a great environment. It was cold so we didn't get the chance to see the garden but we will definitely return!”
