  “I have found the best Chinese shop, I would say the UK. 4 chefs battling at it cooking . Chicken chow mein, it fanominal dont charge for extra chilli's. All the other takeaways do. Where can you find a chow for £20? This will feed two happily. Fresh, tasty and good quality 👌”

  “Was really good to start with! The more you use them the worse it gets. So greasy tonight made me sick. Go to lucky instead, tonight it was vile unless you love everything dripping in oil. Never again, when I say vile with oil thats it!”

  “Placed an order online. Delivery time said 70 minutes. OK it's a Saturday so fair enough. 95 minutes passed and phoned to see what was happening with our order. Was told it would be another 30 minutes. So had to cancel the order. Such a shame because we always have had great food and great service. Not even a apology for the delay. Won't be ordering again”

  “Absolutely shocking service!! When I ordered it said 65mins for delivery. After 90mins I called for an eta. Staff member asked me to hold and forgot about me for 10mins. I had to hang up and call again, I requested a refund as the wait was unacceptable to only be hung up on. When I called again and asked for a refund I was told it wasn’t a good time, can I call back another day to get a refund. After 30mins on the phone (2hours after ordering) I have been told I’m getting a refund - yet to be confirmed! I’ve never had service like this here before and this is the last time I will order from here”

  “Expensive and disappointing… we decided to try this place after seeing all the positive reviews. Unfortunately it was a huge let down. Food was slimy, bland and tasteless. Even the egg fried rice was bad… how are you getting egg fried rice so wrong? £5 for a block of greasy microwaved rice with a couple of strands of egg in it. Sadly won’t be returning”

  “Absolutely disgusting customer service and absolutely disgusting food. My noodles came with plastic and when I showed the manager (Min) she told me not to order from there again, no apology. Absolutely disgusting attitude. I will be taking this further.”

  “Long time customer. Always raving about the food and have had all the family try when they come visit. Don’t know what’s happened recently, but ordered tonight and the quality was nowhere near the standard we’re used to. If we were first time customers we would not return. I’m hoping an off night, but everything was awful tonight. Chow mein slimy, chicken plasticky, sweet and sour tasted off, rice was dry. Delivery was fast but everything just tasted old and out of date. Even the prawn crackers were awful. Really disappointed.”

  “We have been using New Tim Ley for some time now and have never been disappointed (except when they are closed) - they are our go-to Chinese Takeaway. Ordered another delivery last evening for a large group - the lady who took the order over the phone was very pleasant and patient with my hearing issues. The delivery was quicker than forecast and the food, as always, was simply superb with generous portions. An extra Customer Delighter was the free Prawn Crackers and Fortune Cookies. Definitely the best Chinese Takeaway in Burgess Hill - I only wish they had a Dine-In Restaurant, I would certainly frequent that :-)”
