Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out fast delivery of hot food, with Singapore noodles, Chilli BBQ ribs, Sweet and Sour Chicken and fluffy rice among the dishes praised, and several call the people on the phone and at the counter lovely. Crispy Chilli Beef splits opinion, rated highly by one diner and described by another as chewy and neither chilly nor crispy. The complaints are substantial. Two reviewers say quality has slipped since a change of ownership, citing tasteless food, half-full containers, cold or only warm dishes, and uncooked vegetables. One reviewer reports a fishy taste in the Beef in Black Bean Sauce and an intense fishy smell in a Szechuan Duck that was mostly carrot. Another says a wrong order was met with a scolding at the counter, and one reports food poisoning after prawns in a chow mein. A free bottle of coke promised on the menu never arrived for one customer, while another was handed free prawn crackers with Singapore noodles.

“We ordered the Chilli BBQ ribs, Crispy Chilli Beef, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and Beef in Black Bean Sauce. Delivery arrived exceptionally quickly and food was hot. Everything was at least a 9 or a 10 apart from the Black Bean Sauce dish which had a fishy taste to it. Ordered again and have to change the review from a 5 to a 4. Ordered the Szechuan Duck and it was all carrot with an INTENSE fishy smell and taste to it. Perhaps avoid if you are not getting the classics.”

“We ordered a delivery 3 hours ahead of time, the food arrived earlier than planned was piping hot, amazing smells and was delicious. Would have liked more sauce with the meat dishes but the rice was so fluffy. My go to Chinese in the city now”

“This is our usual Chinese takeaway and it's normally absolutely fine and arrives a lot fast than expected, but one of us had prawns in their chow mein last night and has been in stomach agony all night and today and is now throwing up. Prawns gave him food poisoning!”

“My experience was absolutely amazing! The staff working were lovely, and the wait wasn't long. The food here is incredible and I highly recommend for any Chinese food lover.”

“Food is okay but staff can’t handle simple orders. Asked for three small things, got home, realised they had got one of three wrong, came back to ask for the correct food and the woman behind the counter attempted to scold me for her own incompetence. It doesn’t help as well to have a child attempting to take orders behind the counter. Being able to take responsibility for mistakes is pretty crucial, it’s a shame the staff are lacking in this.”
