  “Not sure how it happened, but our evening turned out to be one of the most glorious meal experiences in a LONG while! We went to Casa Nostra mostly on a whim, after seeing some photos online. Sav, the good-looking 'tiny' front of house man greeted us warmly upon entering. He was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. Upon saying something that I misunderstood I asked if he was doing the cooking. "No, that's my mum!" Describing what I had seen online and was hoping to order, I was told that, yes, he knew what I meant, but that they don't really do it anymore. And, it was similar to another item on the menu -- as well as the evening's special. Then he said, "Let me go ask my mum!" He came back to let me know what I wanted was going to be possible, what the price could be and would I want tomato sauce and garlic or white sauce, spaghetti or penne Later he came back and said, "Some good news. My mum wants to know if you'd like hake and octopus as well." Yes, please! (hadn't had hake in a long time) A few minutes later we were asked to move tables where there was more room. "Really?" I asked. Is there that much?" "Not gonna sugarcoat it," Sav says, "but yes." The meal arrived and it was SPECTACULAR! I then understood why we needed to change tables. Clams, scallops, prawns, mussels, octopus, hake all on a bed of penne and in an INCREDIBLE sauce! Later Clair (Clare?), chef and mum stopped by our table. "Is that enough of a challenge for you?" "Indeed! And I love a challenge! I feel like I'm in someone's house where someone enjoys cooking for someone who loves to eat -- and I love to eat!" "Of course!" she says. "That's why it's called Casa Nostra!" Sav brought a warm slice of freshly baked focaccia bread when I was done and sauce was left over, explaining that it was an option to have in place of pasta. And the dessert! The smoothest, silkiest sorbet, made in house with limoncello... Upon paying --somehow a ridiculously low price -- we were given each a small shot of coconut rum and sent on our way with a friendly handshake. I'm still feeling warm and fuzzy the next day.”

  “We had such a lovely evening, jayden, our waiter, was attentive, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour, as was the chef, the food was plentiful and so tasty, nothing was too much trouble, great value for money.”

  “Lovely, friendly family restaurant. All our food was really good, my pizza better than the one I had in Sicily!! Wish we had come across it earlier in our holiday as we would definitely have returned several times. Complimentary tropical vodka a delicious finish. Thank you 😁”
