About La Campagna
La Campagna is an Italian restaurant on Salisbury Rd in Bristol that pairs a traditional pub with an Italian brasserie. The kitchen cooks each dish to order and runs a set menu alongside a longer à la carte list, with a goats cheese and mushroom starter, steak and tiramisu among the dishes. The team can advise on gluten free requirements. The beer garden includes a children's play area, which gives families with young children somewhere to spend time outside the dining room. A private dining room is available for groups, and dogs are welcome. Reservations are required, and tables can be booked by phone.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing them as friendly, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. One reviewer notes that the waitresses understood a gluten free requirement, and another says a last-minute table for two was handled helpfully. The food comes close behind, with the goats cheese and mushroom starter, the tiramisu and a steak each named as standouts, and one diner says the portion sizes leave room for dessert. Another reviewer calls the menu comprehensive, with something for everyone. A visitor who stopped in for a beer praises the beer garden and its children's play area. The one caveat comes from a reviewer who has heard people call the place noisy and echoey, though they enjoy the buzz, and another found it bustling on a Friday evening. One reviewer saw many birthday celebrations on the night, and another was sung happy birthday by the staff.

“Excellent quality food at a price that matches similar restaurants in the area, nowhere is cheap anymore. Atmosphere is good, have heard some people say it can be a bit noisy / echoey, but personally I quite like a bit of a buzz in the place. Staff very efficient and friendly without being overbearing. Will be going back soon..”

“Down from the north of Scotland visiting family who took us out for a meal at La Campagna in Paulton this evening. What an excellent evening. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout the evening. The menu, which is available on the website, is pretty comprehensive including something for everyone. The food itself is wonderful, tasty and portion sizes are spot on. Obviously so you have room for dessert. Big thanks to all for a wonderful evening.”
